Nor-fok, or Naw-fok, no matter how you pronounce it, the experience will always be the same: fun, vibrant entertainment and culture, delicious cuisine and 144 miles of shoreline waiting to be explored!
This year we will be visiting during the Azalea Festival– a beautiful time of year. During our visit, we have
seats for the Virginia International Tattoo, regarded as the most patriotic of the world’s great tattoos. The
performances thrills audiences every year with over 900 performers from 8 nations; More than just a performance, it’s an experience!
Day 1, April 23: Board the motor coach for a drive to Charleston, WV. with an over-night stay. D
Day 2, April 24: After breakfast, travel to Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson. Enjoy lunch at the Historic
Michie Tavern. This is one of the oldest homesteads remaining in Virginia. The Tavern and its outbuildings offer a glimpse of 18th-century life through the exhibit of handcrafted furnishings and artifacts. Later
we have time to learn about Thomas Jefferson and tour Monticello, his restored mountain- top home. We
continue on to Norfolk checking into our hotel for three nights. B/L
Day 3, April 25: This morning we meet the Norfolk Convention and Visitor’s Bureau staff members at
Nauticus to be taken to your seats for the International NATO Festival Parade. The grand parade features
international floats, marching bands, and more. Tour the Nauticus, The National Maritime Center, an exciting science and technology center exploring the power of the sea. This high-tech, virtual reality
“museum” allows visitors to explore the rich life of
the ocean realm, human uses of the sea through
shipping and the role the port of Hampton Roads has
played in world maritime affairs. Next we visit the
Battleship USS Wisconsin, one of the largest Battleships ever built. This mighty ship was used during
the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf
War. Enjoy lunch on your own at MacArthur Center
in downtown Norfolk. Later visit the Douglas MacArthur Memorial followed by tour and tasting at the
Mermaid Winery. Dinner is at a local restaurant.

Day 4, April 26: Tour the Norfolk Naval Station. This is homeport to more than 80 ships of the Atlantic Fleet,
and the world’s largest naval installation. Visit the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a relaxing visit by tram
as we travel around the 155-acre garden...one of the largest collection of azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons on the East Coast. Catch sight of the bird sanctuary where over 90 species have been seen frequently.
Lunch on our own at the gardens. Later in the day we arrive at Scope Arena for reserved seating at the Virginia International Tattoo Performance. It’s a spectacle of military splendor – part parade, part theater, and,
sometimes, part circus! Dinner is included tonight.

Day 5, April 27: This morning we will depart Norfolk
and stop for lunch at the Greenbriar Resort. After
lunch we’ll take The Bunker Tour... The secret is
out! The declassified Bunker at The Greenbrier is a must-see experience that takes you behind
the scenes and walks you through a fascinating
period in the resort's history. Carved deep into
the mountainside beneath the West Virginia
Wing is an emergency Cold War fallout shelter.
Once a top secret U.S. government relocation facility for Congress. Late afternoon, we depart and continue to Charleston, WV for an over night stay. B/L

We begin our trip in Portland, the “City of Roses” and the volcanic terrain of central Oregon. Journeying along
Oregon's breathtaking coastline we’ll stop for viewing wildlife, pristine beaches and rocky cliffs. In California,
see amazing ancient redwood groves, taste-testing in the Napa & Sonoma Valley wineries, and discover the
dark, hidden mysteries of Alcatraz!
June 12, Day 1: Depart for Chicago Midway to catch our flight to Portland, OR. Our guide and driver will meet
us for a tour of the city before checking into our hotel for 3 nights. Enjoy a “welcome to Oregon” dinner! D
June 13, Day 2: This morning explore the Mount Saint Helens volcano and continue up the North Fork of the
Toutle River. Enjoy a boxed lunch at Coldwater Lake before exploring Johnston Ridge. Next visit the Forest

June 14, Day 3: Today we visit one of Oregon’s most famous and tallest waterfalls– Multnomah Falls. Incredible views from Benson Bridge can be enjoyed...Later lunch will be at Skamania Lodge. Continue to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center prior to returning to Portland. B/L
June 15, Day 4: After breakfast, depart for the International Rose Test Garden which was founded in 1917. The
beautiful gardens now feature over seven hundred rose varieties! We begin our scenic “Oregon Coast Drive”
to Newport, OR. Enjoy time in the historic Old Town district for lunch and shopping before we visit the Oregon
Coast Aquarium. This evening take a walk on the beach or relax from your private balcony. Dinner is included
at a local restaurant. B/D
June 16, Day 5: Get ready for a morning of fun exploring the Oregon Dunes aboard a giant dune buggy! We
journey on with stops at Winchester Bay for lunch and a visit to the extraordinary House of Myrtle wood in
Coos Bay. Overnight at a resort in Gold Beach. B/D

June 17, Day 6: Another exciting morning is planned as we depart for a scenic jet boat adventure on the
Rogue River; Hold on to your hats!! This afternoon, cross into northern California and visit Redwood Nat.

June 18, Day 7: Depart for the Avenue of the Giants in Humboldt State Park...admire
the largest remaining stand of virgin redwoods in the world. We have time for a

Day 1 (July 7) Transfer to Chicago O’Hare and fly into Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. We’ll meet our local guide and overnight at the

Day 2 (July 8) This morning we board the Alaska Railroad and travel North to Denali National Park. There is time this afternoon for hiking,

Day 3 (July 9) The Tundra Wilderness trip is scheduled for this morning…traveling deep into the park; keep an eye open for moose, grizzly,

Day 4 (July10) We will be traveling to the coastal community of Seward, AK where we board Celebrity’s cruise ship-Millennium. Along the
route, we visit Happy Trail Kennels, home of four time Iditarod Sled dog winner, Martin Buser and have lunch in Anchorage. Our ship sails at

Day 5 (July 11 Today we sail towards Hubbard Glacier, the longest tidewater glacier in Alaska. Traveling up to Hubbard is both leisurely and
beautiful. The glacier can be very active… creaking & moaning which makes for some excitement! Meals: B, L, D
Day 6 (July 12) We arrive in Juneau, Alaska’s state capitol today. A variety of
shore excursions will be available or you can explore the city on your own. A
much-loved tour is the Mendenhall raft trip or the flight seeing tours over the

Day 7 (July 13) Our next port of call is Skagway. You will enjoy the historic
flavour and its natural setting of this once gold- rushing town. There are several

Day 10 (July 16) Carved by glaciers and blanketed with majestic hemlock & spruce, Alaska’s Inside Passage is a region of pristine water, snow

Take a guided walk through Old Town; then ride to Hradčany to visit Prague Castle. After free time to have
lunch and explore on your own, transfer to Melnik to

Day 4, Aug.3: Spend the morning cruising through the
scenic area of Porta Bohemia on the Elbe. Arrive just
after lunch in Litoměřice, one of the prettiest towns in
the Czech Republic. See St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Jesuit Church, historic Market Square and many residential buildings from the baroque, Renaissance and
Gothic periods. The tour ends with a tasting of Bohemian beers. Dine aboard; we remain docked overnight so feel free to take an evening stroll. B/L/D
Day 5, Aug.4: This morning, cruise through the magnificent, soaring rock formations of the Saxon Switzerland region, then dock at the spa town of Bad Schandau. From here we make our way to the famous rock
tower known as the Bastei (bastion), formed by water
a million years ago, to enjoy stunning panoramic views
of the Elbe. Return aboard for dinner and evening
cruising. B/L/D
Day 6, Aug.5: Awaken in Dresden, nicknamed
“Florence on the Elbe,” and embark on a tour just after
breakfast. Drive through the 19th-century residential area to the Dresden Castle complex; enter the
Green Vault to see a comprehensive collection of the Saxon monarchs’ crown jewels. Continue on foot to
see Zwinger Palace, Semper Opera House and the Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Lady) with its distinctive bell-shaped dome that survived World War II bombings but collapsed the following day. Later, it was
rebuilt. Enjoy free time to explore more of Dresden, or join one of the ship’s master chefs on a shopping
trip to the local farmers' market. You also have the opportunity to see some local arts and crafts this
afternoon. Dinner is served aboard, but feel free to enjoy Dresden’s many charms and attractions this

Day 7, Aug.6: This morning, we arrive in Meissen where we stop in at
the Meissen ware factory, producers of fine porcelain since the early
1700s. Discover how this trademarked porcelain is created by hand,
then tour the museum. Continue on to Castle Hill for a walking tour
through Old Town. Return aboard for lunch and an afternoon departure. Later, arrive in Torgau with its remarkable Renaissance houses.
Join the Program Director for an evening stroll to see fortified
Hartenfels Castle, Market Square and the “Elbe Day” monument that
marks the day in 1945 when Russian and American troops shook hands. The ship remains docked overnight. B/L/D
Day 8, Aug.7: Today we cruise the Elbe and arrive after lunch in Wittenberg, birthplace of the Reformation.
Follow in Martin Luther’s footsteps to view many of Wittenberg’s time-honored landmarks. Tour inside Luther’s House and St. Marien’s Church, where he preached. See the Castle Church where Luther posted his
“95 Theses”; then explore on your own. Return to our ship for a dinnertime departure. B/L/D
Day 9, Aug.8: Arrive this morning in Dessau and take a journey to Wörlitz Park, Germany’s first landscaped
park with English-style gardens. Tour inside Wörlitz Castle, fashioned after an English country home, and
walk the grounds. Return to ship for lunch and an afternoon departure. Dine aboard as we arrive in Magdeburg, where we dock for the night. This evening, join your ship’s Captain for a festive onboard dinner. B/L/D
Day 10, Aug.9: After breakfast, disembark and travel to Potsdam, historic capital of the German state of
Brandenburg. Tour either Sanssouci Palace, a perfect example of German rococo architecture, or the nearby New Chambers. Both are built by Prussian king Frederick the Great in the 18th century. Have lunch on
your own, then we proceed to the dynamic German capital of Berlin. Check in to your hotel and take the
rest of the day to explore the city. B

What a beautiful way to begin
the holidays!! Historic Charleston and grand Savannah will be
dressed up in its Christmas finery, with its delectable culinary

Day 1, Dec.1: We depart Central Illinois and travel to Stockbridge, GA. For our over-night stay.
Day 2, Dec.2: After breakfast, we’ll board the coach and continue to Savannah, GA. Tour the Davenport
House. This fine Federal-style home was completed by master-builder Isaiah Davenport as his family residence in 1820. Authentically restored, the house features original plasterwork, a cantilever staircase and
furnishings true to the 1820s. The site also features a courtyard garden that was originally a Bicentennial
project of the Trustees' Garden Club and was later re-designed by noted horticulturist Penelope Hobhouse.
Enjoy free time at the City Market in Downtown Savannah. Since the early 1700's, City Market has been the
commercial and social center of historic Savannah. Dinner is included at a local Savannah restaurant.
The Savannah theatre remains a wonderful example of the 1940’s art deco style. Restored in 2002, the Savannah Theatre combines a state-of-the-art sound and light system with the classic backdrop of the nation’s oldest continually-operating theatre. See A Christmas Tradition this evening. The theatre is transformed into a holiday perfect picture, sharing memories of the Christmas standards that you know and

Beautifully decorated for the holidays, explore Victorian holiday customs at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, home of the founder of the Girl Scouts. The table is set for Christmas dinner, the stockings are ready
in Mama’s bedroom and the vintage “Game of Merry Christmas” is out for all to see. Enjoy free time and

(House Tour), It is a National Historic Landmark and a carefully preserved 18th-century plantation that has survived revolution, Civil War,

Important Trip Information
Reservations: Deposits of $200.00 per person are due within 10 days of booking unless otherwise noted. Final
payments are due 60 days prior to departure.
Flight Information: Flights are scheduled from Chicago and St. Louis as noted in the itinerary; however departures from other airports can be arranged. Seating preferences cannot always be accommodated. When making your reservation it is important to give your legal name and it should match the name on your passport and/or other
ID.
Luggage: Travelers are limited to one large suitcase & 1 carryon. Luggage fees for airlines are not included.
Documents: Travel itineraries for motor coach trips will be mailed no later than 10 days prior to departure.
“Know Before You Go” get-togethers will be arranged for air-trips. Documents will be mailed if you are unable to attend.
Fully Escorted Vacations: For your convenience a dedicated and professional Tour assistant will accompany
the tours; providing you a care-free and relaxing get away!
