Trip description
Set off on an adventure and discover the best kept secret places of the Arctic Cordillera – rugged mountains, oceanic fjords, thousand-year-old
glaciers, towering waterfalls, fathomless canyons… With so many places to be discovered, it is not surprising that this forgotten land at the
northern edge of Quebec and Labrador is considered as one of the wildest of the world.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Montreal - Kuujjuaq - Kangiqsualujjuaq (Georges River)/Barnoin Camp Flight. 
Upon arrival at Barnoin Camp, the manager will welcome you with a cocktail, followed by an
informational meeting concerning safety and equipment preparation for the next day’s flight.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2: Floatplane flight between Barnoin Camp and the Arctic Cordillera.  A floatplane
will take you early in the morning for a magnificent flight over the Arctic Cordillera south
ecozone. Today your mountain hike will begin by walking toward Precipice Mountain. You will
discover a narrow and deep gorge cut in the bedrock by the powerful torrent and will observe
magnificent waterfalls and a rocky arch. At night, watch the aurora borealis. Overnight stay
under the tent.
Day 3 to 8: Trek between mountains, fjords and glaciers.  This region offers the most
extraordinary variety of landscapes in the south ecozone of the Arctic Cordillera. This trek
between fjords, glaciers, lakes and mountains offers you an unequalled range of striking
landscapes. It is in this most mountainous and the most accessible region of the Torngat
Mountains park, that we selected the most beautiful hikes, to make you discover breathtaking
landscapes. In it you will follow routes little known on the crests overlooking the lakes and
fjords of the Labrador coast. Overnight stay under the tent.
The camp at Barnoin River is situated in Arctic Quebec, 1,500
km north of Montreal and 165 km east of Kuujjuaq. Komaktorvik
Fiord is located less than 120 km east of the camp.
Day 9: Afternoon Return Flight to Camp on the Barnoin River Dinner and overnight
stay at the lodge.
Day 10: Return trip Breakfast at the lodge.
