Trip Itinerary Day 1: Montreal - Kuujjuaq - Kangiqsualujjuaq (Georges River)/Barnoin Camp Flight. Upon arrival at Barnoin Camp, the manager will welcome you with a cocktail, followed by an informational meeting concerning safety and equipment preparation for the next day’s flight. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. Day 2: Floatplane flight between Barnoin Camp and the Arctic Cordillera. A floatplane will take you early in the morning for a magnificent flight over the Arctic Cordillera south ecozone. Today your mountain hike will begin by walking toward Precipice Mountain. You will discover a narrow and deep gorge cut in the bedrock by the powerful torrent and will observe magnificent waterfalls and a rocky arch. At night, watch the aurora borealis. Overnight stay under the tent. Day 3 to 8: Trek between mountains, fjords and glaciers. This region offers the most extraordinary variety of landscapes in the south ecozone of the Arctic Cordillera. This trek between fjords, glaciers, lakes and mountains offers you an unequalled range of striking landscapes. It is in this most mountainous and the most accessible region of the Torngat Mountains park, that we selected the most beautiful hikes, to make you discover breathtaking landscapes. In it you will follow routes little known on the crests overlooking the lakes and fjords of the Labrador coast. Overnight stay under the tent. The camp at Barnoin River is situated in Arctic Quebec, 1,500 km north of Montreal and 165 km east of Kuujjuaq. Komaktorvik Fiord is located less than 120 km east of the camp.
