Aloha Kailua Intermediate School Families!
It’s all about Spring Break!! What are your plans? Sleep? Beach? Movies? Hiking?
Gaming? Hang out? ? ? ? Ms. Kusunoki’s Advanced Band is going to Anaheim.
Ms. Kuntsunai’s classes are visiting the Waihe’e Watershed and Tunnel. Kama’aina Kids and
Windward YMCA have programs for grade K-6 kids only >> So if your 7th or 8th grader still
needs something to do . . . head to the Boys & Girls Club, they have lots planned!
Boys & Girls Club Spring Break fun at the beach! Scavenger hunts, sports activities, and teaching survival 101
tactics at our beautiful home base, Kailua Beach. Field trips include Sunset Beach on the North Shore, and
Ala Moana Beach for more fun filled activities like surfing, stand-up paddling, kayaking and more! Youth ages
7 to 14 Cost: $90* ($25 annual Boys and Girls Club membership required) Hours: 7am-2pm The regular

Friday April 24th 6:30 pm Jazzfest @ Kailua High School!
Jazz bands from Kailua HS, Kamehameha, Moanalua MS, the
Thursday Night Band, the “Other” Monday Night Band, and special
guest artists will perform at this special event.

Very IMPORTANT! Please complete your School Quality Survey by Tuesday, March 24 th! All 7th
and 8th graders were given one to take home a couple of weeks ago. It can be completed online at
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/parent_middlehigh Please take a couple of minutes to complete
the survey, it’s important feedback Principal DeLong won’t get if you don’t fill it out.
Starting March 11th on Wednesdays, Lunch Bunch with the MFLC will begin the
Group "Cliques, Phonies and Other Baloney." Students can bring their lunch
and attend. We will have activities and talk about how to deal with peer pressure.

adults to help from 12 noon – 3:00. Even just an hour of your time helps!
