Brief description:
A’Sharqiyah University International Undergraduate Scholarships are
intended for students from other countries who want to pursue a Bachelor’s
degree at A’Sharqiyah University in the Sultanate of Oman. These
scholarships are funded by the University.
Fields of study:
All undergraduate programs offered at A’Sharqiyah University are eligible.
These include:
College of Engineering
Civil Engineering
Environmental Engineering
Electronics and Communications Engineering
College of Business Administration
Accounting and Finance
Management
Management Information Systems
College of Applied Sciences
Food Science and Nutrition
Fisheries and Marine Sciences

Number of Scholarships:
Six scholarships (two per college) will be offered for the Academic Session
2015/6, commencing in September for the duration of the intended program
of study typically 4 years (4½ years for Engineering programs).
Scholarship value/inclusions:
Each Scholarship covers:
 Full tuition and examination fees,
 Accommodation (only for female students).
Not included:
Each candidate will be responsible for their airfares to and from Oman.
Accommodation will be provided for only female students in the University
hostels. Students are advised to budget for approximately US $ 250 per
month to cover their living expenses.
Eligibility:
The scholarships are targeted to citizens of any country. Citizens of
developing countries are particularly encouraged to apply.
To be eligible for an ASU International Undergraduate Scholarships,
candidates should hold a general Diploma (or equivalent such as an A’
Level Certificate) from other countries according to the following conditions:
1- The student must have obtained an average of not less than very
good in the General Diploma or A’ Level Certificate.
2- The student must meet the University admission requirements for the
intended program of study.
3- The student must maintain an accumulated grade point average of
not less than 2.5 throughout the duration of his/her studies;
otherwise, the student shall lose his/her scholarship.

4- The student must be medically fit.
Application instructions:
The University will only accept applications directly from candidates for
these scholarships. Applications received via an agency or third party will
not be considered. The University’s decision on any application is final and
not subject to appeal.
