HIS Solar Energy Demonstration Unit (Model: HE 191) has been designed to demonstrate the principles
of thermodynamics as related to the field of solar energy. Students will be able to study the basic
principles of the conversion of solar radiation into thermal energy.
DESCRIPTION
The HE191 is a bench top unit which consist of the
following main components:
a) a solar collector with removable front plate and
adjustable angle of inclination
b) a water tank with heat exchangers
c) a variable intensity heat source
d) a water circulation pump
Students will be able to manipulate the water flowrate
using a control valve installed before the flowmeter.

Temperature sensors are fitted at various locations to
measure the temperatures of the water at various
points.
i) 3 units of digital indicator
ii) 4 units of RTD sensor c/w transmitters
iii) 1 unit of electronic flowmeter
