Guide to Choosing Hardware
Select diameter and connecting arm length.
Options: fixing plate can be oversized for
increased stability on drywall. You will need to
select your own fastener to suit the specific site
conditions. Fasteners are not included with
hardware.

responsibility of JBGS. JBGS does not accept

associated to these specific custom applications. The
onus is on the designer/architect/contractor to provide
a sound solution for their respective final clients.
If you have panels that overlap each other you will require Panel to Panel
Spacers between each overlapping panel. Choose panel to panel spacers
to customize the distance between your panels. You can combine this option
with the Wall Spacer & Button Wall Mount Assembly Option.
You also need to order Socket Set Screws, Nylon Washers and Nylon Bushings.
Every panel of glass with hardware running through will require 2 Washers,
1 nylon bushing & 1 socket set screw.

Ordering Floor & Wall Mount Hardware
Determine whether panel will be mounted at parallel to another surface. (i.e.: wall or another panel) or vertically from the
floor and ceiling. All standard hardware will hold glass up to 12mm (1/2") thick. For thicker panels, custom hardware will be
required. Please email [email protected] or call 1 888 505 4527 for more information on custom hardware.

Choose diameter of FIXING PLATE. Use a wider diameter FIXING PLATE for softer surfaces such as drywall. You will need to select
your own fastener to suit the specific site conditions. Fasteners are not included with hardware, and mounting screws are
not supplied with FIXING PLATES. These can be obtained from your local hardware store.
Select appropriate spacer type, length, and diameter. Either a CONNECTING ARM or WALL SPACER depending on application. A
CONNECTING ARM is used with the Panel Grip series STRAIGHT GRIP and HOOK GRIP. Wall Spacers are used in conjunction with BUTTONS
and PANEL SPACERS.
Order appropriate PANEL GRIP (STRAIGHT/HOOK) or BUTTON to hold the panel in place.
Order appropriate SOCKET SET SCREW, NYLON WASHERS and NYLON BUSHINGS. NYLON BUSHINGS provided with all glass hardware.

Choose diameter of BUTTONS and PANEL SPACERS
Determine width of PANEL SPACERS
Select appropriate quantity and length of appropriate SOCKET SET SCREW (see chart on page 10).
Choose NYLONS WASHERS and NYLON BUSHINGS to match same diameter as selected for buttons and Panel spacers.
You will require 1 bushing and 2 washers for every connection where a socket set screw is used and hardware
runs through the panel of glass.

Hardware | Order Terms & Conditions
I. Order Standard Joel Berman Glass Studios (JBGS) Hardware

If you are uncertain of Standard Hardware required for your project, complete the Hardware
Information Form. Attach a finished working drawing of the installation that includes the basic
dimensional information pertinent to the hardware application (ie: ceiling heights, finished
opening dimensions, offset distances, wall conditions...).

Please email completed Hardware Information Form and drawings to [email protected]
Attn: Hardware Designer or the JBGS representative for your area.

Based on this completed information, a JBGS Hardware Designer or Representative will assist you
to determine the appropriate hardware for your project and generate a quote.

Alternatively, the JBGS design team can design your installation and provide you with CAD drawings.
Design services will be required to complete the design. A fee of up to $125/hour will apply.
II. Order Custom JBGS Hardware

JBGS can custom manufacture our Standard Hardware Components to meet your installation
requirements.

includes the basic dimensional information pertinent to the hardware application (ie: ceiling
heights, finished opening dimensions, offset distances, wall conditions etc.).

A JBGS Hardware Designer will contact you to review your Custom Hardware requirements and a

All custom hardware requires 2–4 weeks production time upon approval of the final drawing and
payment is received.
Note
Custom Hardware applications designed and specified by out-of-house designers/architects/contractors are not
the responsibility of JBGS. JBGS does not accept responsibility for any performance problems associated to these
specific custom applications. The onus is on the designer/architect/contractor to provide a sound solution for
their respective final clients.

III. Order Site Specific JBGS Hardware

All metal work that is not derived from JBGS Standard Hardware is classified as “Site Specific
metal fabrication”.

ceiling heights, finished opening dimensions, offset distances, wall conditions...).

A JBGS Hardware Designer will contact you to review your Custom Hardware requirements

All Site-Specific Hardware requires 4–6 weeks lead-time upon approval of the final drawing
and payment is received.
Return Policy
Standard Hardware in original condition may be returned for credit within 60 days of original
invoice. A restocking fee will apply. Please contact your JBGS representative prior to returning any
Standard Hardware merchandise. Returns must be insured for the original invoice amount.
Shipping charges will not be covered by JBGS.
Shipping
All orders will be shipped via Federal Express or UPS. Unless specified, your order will be shipped
on an overnight service. JBGS will require a FedEx or UPS account number, otherwise shipping
charges will apply. JBGS will require an exact delivery address along with telephone number,
contact name, and Federal Tax ID number (or social insurance number). We will not be able to
ship your order without this information. Most orders for stock merchandise will be shipped
within 48 hours of receipt of your purchase order and payment. Special crating or handling
charges may apply to oversize or custom orders. Your order must be inspected immediately upon
arrival. If your order is not received in satisfactory condition, keep all packaging material and notify
JBGS within 24 hours.
Payment options
Payment can be made to Joel Berman Glass Studios Ltd by Visa, wire transfer or certified
cheque/money order (please allow 2 days for processing time).
Note: Site-specific metal fabrication installations that
are designed and specified by out-of-house
designers/architects/contractors are not the
responsibility of JBGS. JBGS does not accept
