Christian Medical College(CMC), Vellore was established in 1900 and is
unique in being a multispecialty tertiary hospital with 2600 beds delivering
health care par excellence and preparing health care professionals who
function at various settings of need in the Spirit of Christ. College of Nursing
an integral part of the CMC plays a vital role in preparing competent nurses
for the country and the world at large.
The faculty of College of Nursing, CMC have a dual role and are actively
involved in patient care and administration in addition to their teaching
responsibility and research activities. This concept of integration has been
motivational and instrumental in bringing about innovations in teaching
methods as well as exercising various clinical practice models over the years.
Innovations in Nursing need to be evolved and sustained in keeping with the
changing health care needs, health care reforms and technological advances
in the country and world at large. As change agents, faculty in Nursing are
faced with the challenge of preparing culturally competent, socially
responsible and compassionate nurses who will strive for excellence in
quality through intelligent innovations.
The Dean, faculty, students of College of Nursing have the pleasure of
inviting you for the National conference on “Innovations in Nursing: A Key to
Professional Excellence”. The conference is aimed to motivate nurses
towards achieving professional excellence and features wide range of
scientific concepts in innovations and challenges in Nursing Education,
Practice, Management and Research.

Objectives:
Participants will be able to
· gain an insight into innovations in nursing education, clinical
practice, management and research
· present and exchange ideas related to themes and sub themes
· identify effective ways to execute innovations and sustain changes
Call for Abstracts:
Abstracts related to Conference Theme or Sub Themes are invited
for Paper/Poster Presentation. Registration is mandatory for the
delegates to present paper/poster.
· All abstracts have to be submitted on or before 31.03.15.
· Abstracts should be limited to 350 words in English (Times
New Roman, Font size 12)
· Abstracts should include the title, author's name, brief
introduction, methods, results and conclusion.
· The name of the presenting author must be underlined.
· Preferred type of presentation (oral/poster) must be
indicated at the time of submission.
· The duration of the oral presentation will be 8-10 minutes.
The poster size should be 90 x 90cms.
