LA Raise the Wage Campaign—Discussion and Possible Action Item on supporting the LA Raise the Wage platform which is a city-wide policy initiative demanding a $15 minimum wage, wage theft enforcement and earned sick days for workers. Reyes (5 min). VII. Great Streets Initiative—Informational section of Mayor Eric Garcetti initiative. Councilmember Price is hosting a meeting on April 11th for community members to provide input on the design ideas for Central Avenue. Favela (5 min). SCNC Outreach Committee /Emergency Preparedness Workshops—Discussion and Possible Action Item on organizing three community workshops to provide community members with information about being ready in case of natural disasters. SCNC Tenants Committee/Education—Discussion and Possible Action Item on organizing a set of “Know your Rights” workshops around the SCNC boundaries to provide community members with information on issues impacting their lives. Franco/Sanchez (5 min). X. School Beautification Project—Discussion and Possible Action Item on organizing a community beautification project to clean inside and outside the 28th Street Elementary School. The project will look for funding to provide refreshments and to borrow tools from the SCNC to do the cleaning activity. Board members are required to participate. Sanchez (5 min). XI. Central Ave. Way Finding Project.—Discussion and Possible Action Item on supporting and participating in a walking tour planned for April 18th 2015. The walking tour aims to involve community members in providing input on where signage should be placed and where it should direct residents (key destinations). Reyes (10 min). XII. SCNC website and Logo—Board member Andrade proposal on designing an official SCNC website and logo for branding and marketing the SCNC. Andrade/Zelda Harrison graphic designer. (5 min). XIII.
