The final report of the Comprehensive Review Task Group has been released and is now before the United Church for study and review. It offers a number of far-reaching proposals that would radically change the United Church. The Report and accompanying background documents can be downloaded from: http://www.gc42.ca/comprehensive-reviewreport. Ottawa Presbytery is hosting a series of meetings to allow thoughtful and thorough study of the report and to develop an appropriate response from the Presbytery, which will be sent on to the General Council meeting in Corner Brook, Nfld. this August. These meetings are open to every interested member of the United Church, but they will be of particular importance to members of Ottawa Presbytery who have the responsibility of deciding what response the Presbytery should make. Please read the report and consider attending one or more of these meetings. It is important that the General Council hear the voices of the church. ! ! !
