Submission of Applications:
The University, in order to start academic session at its right time, is proudly launching
admissions of undergraduate programs of the session, 2015-2016 for the first time on the basis of
Entry Test of students of Intermediate (Part-I) or HSSC (combined) examination or equivalent
thereto. However, there is no entry test for admission to Intermediate (Pre-Agriculture) and
Associate degree programs of two years duration.
The candidates after qualifying Intermediate (Part-I) or an examination acceptable as
equivalent thereto from a recognized institution in the Punjab and entry test, are advised to apply
on proper application forms included in this brochure. The details for admission, minimum
required qualification in undergraduate degree programs at main Campus and Sub Campuses at
Toba Tek Singh and Burewala (Vehari), are given below. The minimum qualification against
each degree(except B.Ed. and Associate degree in Education) be read by excluding 20 marks of
Hafiz-e-Quran. While preparing merit, Hafiz-e-Quran candidates will be given 20 marks after
their test/interview as per details given in para 3:S.#

Graduation (14 years schooling) from HEC recognized University/Institution, any degree
program of this University/BCS (Hons.) or B.Sc.(Hons.) with any discipline in Physics,
Chemistry, Biology (Zoology, Botany)/Math/Computer Science, or M.Sc. in any mentioned
discipline with two year graduation securing at least 45% marks under annual system or CGPA
of 2.50/4.00 under semester system.
a)
The students enrolled in any degree program at this University are also eligible to
apply in this program through credit earning system. The morning students pursuing
their higher degrees in the vicinity of Faisalabad who fulfill the minimum
requirements for admission to this degree will also be eligible to apply and continue
(if admitted on merit) the evening program of studies i.e. B.Ed.
b)
Merit for admission in this degree program shall be determined on the basis of
percentage of marks (calculated upto three decimals) in the degree program which is
a requirement for admission to B.Ed.

Hafiz-e-Quran Test:

In the case of Certificate/degree programs (except in-service teachers of Associate degree
in Education and B.Ed.), the candidates desirous to claim 20 marks being Hafiz-e-Quran, would
have to appear for test/interview irrespective of the fact that he/she has Hafiz-e-Quran certificate.
For the purpose while submitting application form on open merit, they would be required to
submit prescribed registration application as per specimen available in the Office of Dean/
Director/Principal of Sub Campus concerned upto the last date advertised in the National Press.
On the next day of expiry of last date, such applications complete in all respects will be
forwarded by the Dean/Director concerned to the Director Students’ Affairs under covering letter
to proceed further into the matter.
On receipt of applications, the test/interview of the candidates of main campus will be
conducted by the Director Students' Affairs in his office located near main cafeteria adjacent to
main library as per schedule published in the National Press. The test/interview in the case of
candidates of Sub Campus will be arranged by the Principal concerned at the respective Sub
Campuses. It is made clear that no separate test/interview will be conducted for a candidate
who could not appear on the scheduled date and time under any circumstances. After
conducting test/interview, the list of qualified/failed/absent candidates will be communicated
under confidential cover to the Dean/Director concerned by the Directorate of Students' Affairs.
The admission authority concerned will carefully check/ensure that 20 marks have been added in
the marks of last examination while preparing merit, only in the case of candidates who have
declared as pass/qualified the test/interview as indicated against their names in the list received
from Director Students' Affairs office. The candidates who fail to qualify/pass the test/interview
and names not included in the requisite list, will be placed in the merit list according to their
marks secured in last examination without 20 marks, irrespective of the fact that they have
attached any type of Hafiz-e-Quran certificate or not.
Three years Diploma holder candidates:

The candidates possessing Three Years Diploma of Associate Engineer(DAE) in the
relevant technology can apply for admission to all the Engineering programs only against their
reserved seats under ‘Open Merit’ and ‘Evening College’ categories. They shall not be eligible to
apply for admission under any other category in any Engineering programs. Their marks will be

converted to a basic figure of 1100 (total marks for F.Sc.) and Hafiz-e-Quran marks, if any will
be added later after conversion (provided they pass/qualify Hafiz-e-Quran test/interview).
Age limit:

For Intermediate (Pre-Agriculture) age limit is 18 years and 23 years for other degree
programs on 1st September, 2015. There is no age limit for admission to Associate and B.Ed.
degree programs. However, the upper age limit condition where applicable can be relaxed on the
recommendations of respective admission authority by the Vice Chancellor, if selected
provisionally. Such applicants are required to submit a request addressed to the Vice Chancellor
on plain paper alongwith application form. However, the competent authority may refuse to
consider the request for relaxation.
For rural candidates:

The district of a candidate will be determined from the name and place of School
indicated in the Matric Certificate. If the school is situated within the premises of a District
Headquarter, the candidate will be considered as Urban. The rest of the candidates will be
considered as Rural for the degree programs where separate seats have been earmarked for rural
and urban candidates.

In addition to Open merit, Punjab domiciled candidates
should also apply to the Adjutant General, AG's Branch
(W & R Directorate), GHQ, Rawalpindi according to the
schedule notified by the GHQ. The seats reserved under the
category 'Children of Defence Forces Personnel' are meant
only for Children of Army Personnel according to
distribution of seats by the Joint Staff Headquarters,
Rawalpindi.
(8) Admission on Sports and Co-Curricular basis:
The candidates irrespective of gender seeking admission on the basis of excellence in
Sports or Co-Curricular activities against the reserved seats (where available) are required to
submit separate single form for each category of specific colours alongwith documentary
evidence, if any, in addition to 'Open Merit' form and submit in the offices mentioned below up
to the last date advertised in the National Press. These forms are not included in the brochure
but will be sold on demand through the Bank on cash payment. The sports trials and interviews
for Co-Curricular activities will be held at Faisalabad as per schedule notified by the Directorate
of Sports and Office of the Senior Tutor respectively. The said schedule can also be perused on
University website at proper time:Sports

Note: i)
Before notifying admission under sports/co-curricular activities, the admission
authority concerned should check whether the applicant has already been admitted under
any other category except open/district merit. In case the applicant has already been
admitted and deposited dues/completed other formalities, his/her admission under sports/
co-curricular categories should not be notified.
ii)
Besides above checking an undertaking be obtained from each applicant before
notifying admission under these categories to the effect that he/she has already not been
selected in any other degree program at main or sub campus. In case, it is proved at a
later stage that the applicant has submitted false undertaking, his/her provisional

admission allowed under sports/co-curricular categories will be cancelled and the dues
deposited shall not be refunded in any case.
(9) Blank admission application forms:
The blank admission application forms for Faisalabad Campus are available in this
brochure which can be obtained from the Habib Bank Limited, University Branch at Faisalabad,
on cash payment. Those who intend to seek admission at T. T. Singh and Burewala (Vehari)
Sub-Campuses may obtain brochure from the offices of the respective Principal.
(10) Downloading of application form:
The application forms of Faisalabad Campus are also available at the University website
http://www.uaf.edu.pk. The interested candidates may download the application form and
complete it in all respects by attaching the requisite documents and bank draft/pay order equal to
price of brochure in favour of the Treasurer, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, prepared by
any scheduled Bank before its submission in the concerned Faculty/Institute/College upto the last
date. In case a candidate also desires to apply in other degree programs according to eligibility,
he/she may attach copy of requisite Bank Draft/Pay order alongwith each application form
separately indicating the Faculty/Institute/College, where original draft has been submitted. The
downloaded application without DD/Pay order or proof will be rejected without prior intimation
being incomplete.
(11) Submission of forms and display of merit list:
The prescribed separate application forms for each of the above degree course along with
requisite documents as per details given on the back of each form must be submitted to the
Offices of the Deans/Director/Principal concerned upto the date published in the National Press.
The name of the category in which a candidate seeks admission must be clearly indicated in the
admission form. No one will be allowed to add or change the name of the category after
submission of application. However, their admission will be carried out on the basis of
documentary evidences attached with the form. In case the candidates possessing equal marks
and standing at the tail of the merit list, preference for admission will be given to the older one.

The candidates will not be called for interview and the provisional selection shall be
made purely on merit on the basis of marks secured in Matric, Intermediate (Part-I) and entry test
marks with the ratio of 30:30:40 respectively, according to the following formula example. The

ratio for those who passed equivalent of Matric, Intermediate (Part-I), will be 60:40. The merit of
those candidates who have already qualified HSSC(combined)/equivalent examination, will
however, be determined alike other candidates:-

After declaration of result of combined (Part I & II HSSC), the candidates will submit copy
of result card immediately in the Office of concerned Dean/Director/Principal. The admission of
those will be cancelled who could not qualify HSSC/equivalent examination with minimum marks
already prescribed under eligibility criteria for admission to respective degree programs. Those who
failed to submit HSSC result prior to mid-term examination of the semester, shall not be allowed to
continue studies/sit in the examination. The University dues deposited by students who quit
admission at their own, will not be refunded. But those who could not fulfill the minimum required
percentage of HSSC/do not fall on merit, will be allowed to get the dues refunded according to the
University rules.
No intimation about admission will be communicated to the applicant. They shall check
their admission from the lists which will be displayed by the concerned Deans/Director/Principal
on the Notice Boards of the respective Faculty/Institute/Sub Campus on the date published in the
National Press. For admission in the degree programs of Faisalabad Campus, these lists can also
be seen on University's website http://www.uaf.edu.pk. If a selected candidate fails to deposit
University dues within the stipulated period indicated in the admission notification, his
admission shall stand cancelled automatically without any prior notice. The admission of next
candidate on waiting list will be notified who will also not be informed about his selection but he
will have to check his name from the admission lists displayed on the respective Notice Board.
However, the admission authority has a right to refuse admission to any candidate without
assigning any reason.

(15) Procedure to apply for admission to 'Evening College' Program:
(a)
All the male/female citizens of Pakistan irrespective of their domicile can apply
for admission under Evening College category in the programs wherever seats have been
earmarked.
(b)
The Punjab domiciled candidates seeking admission in Evening College should
have also to apply against Open Merit seats of day classes as a pre-requisite.
(c)
Separate ‘pink’ colour application form would be required to submit for
admission against each degree program which will be sold on demand by the candidates in
addition to price of the prospectus. Separate form for each degree would be required to submit.
(d)

(e)
The candidates will have to pay amount of entry fee through the Bank Draft/pay
order in favour of the Treasurer of this University prepared by any scheduled bank and payable
at NBP/HBL/MCB, University of Agriculture Branch. The draft/pay order be submitted either to
the office of the Treasurer (Accounts Section) at Faisalabad after following the prescribed
procedure or Principal of the Burewala and T. T. Singh Campuses against proper receipts, before
submission of admission application form in the respective Faculty/Institute/Sub-Campus. They
should attach original receipt of entry fee issued by the Accounts Section/Principal Office with
each prescribed form. The amount of remaining installments, if any will be paid by the students
at the time of depositing dues of regular semester(s) through DD/Pay order drawn in favour of
the Treasurer. The original DD/Pay order shall be submitted by such students to the Accounts
Section for adjustment of their outstanding installments/record.
(f)
If the applicants are more than the number of allocated seats, the admission will
be made on merit (among themselves) to be determined on the basis of marks obtained by the
respective applicants in Matric, Intermediate (Part-I) and entry test marks. Female candidates
will be admitted on merit inter see against the seats specifically reserved for them.
(g)
In case a candidate is not selected on merit in the Evening College or not willing
to join the course (as the case may be), the amount of entry fee can be refunded. Provided that
such candidate after completion of the admission process submits an application addressed to the
Treasurer for the purpose. The application should be certified/recommended by all such Deans/
Directors/Principal wherever the candidate stands eligible to apply indicating that the applicant
applied/not applied for admission in the category but could not be admitted on merit/not applied/
not completed admission formalities being unwilling to join the course (as the case may be) and
the entry fee may be refunded to him.
(h)
It should be noted that the notification for admission under Evening College
category be issued strictly after finalization of admission on all categories of admission. If the
candidate (fresh entrant), once admitted in a degree program as Evening College student, enrolls
himself/herself by submitting UG-I form, deposits normal dues and subsequently leaves the
University under any circumstances/change admission category, the amount of entry fee and

other dues except “admission fee” already deposited by him/her shall be refunded to a candidate
as per percentage and time limit given below:% age of dues deposited

(*) In the case where dues were deposited after commencement of classes, the next day from
depositing dues will be considered as date of convene of classes.
The entry fee/dues will also be refunded as specified under ‘g’ above if:i)
admission of any candidate is notified but he has not deposited or deposited
the dues but not completed the enrolment formalities within the stipulated
period.
ii)
the candidate who has applied against day and evening college classes seats
simultaneously but selected on day classes.
iii)
the number of candidates in the Evening College in any course is too small to
start the class
(i)
If a candidate of Evening College desires to change his course after notification of
his admission in a degree course, may opt for another course once; provided he had already
submitted proper application form under the said category and falls on merit in that course.
(j)
No student of day classes will be allowed to shift to Evening College in any case
and vice versa.
(k)
If a candidate who submitted an application form as a day class student but could
not be admitted on merit, he can opt for seeking admission as Evening College student by
submitting an application to the respective Dean/Director/Principal, who after ensuring his merit,
availability of seat and obtaining bank draft of entry fee, shall submit his case to the
Vice Chancellor for approval through the Registrar office. A certificate must be accompanied
with the case from the Dean/Director/Principal concerned that no candidate on waiting list of
Evening College category has previously been ignored. However, such admission will be
recommended after completion of admission against all the categories.

However, after completion of admission against allocated seats under ‘Evening
College’ category with the candidates who applied within due date by depositing amount of entry
fee/completing other admission formalities, the University reserves the right to allow admission
under ‘Evening College’ category to the candidates having higher marks who had applied earlier
on ‘open merit’ but could not get admission by allocating additional seats/adjustment of unutilized under other categories and following the prescribed procedure.
(l)
In case, seats reserved in the Evening College remain vacant in a degree course,
the same may be transferred to any other degree course in the same category, if required, with
the permission of the competent authority.
(m)
The classes under the category will start functioning in the morning time and
students will enjoy all the auxiliary facilities such as medical, accommodation (if available) etc.
just like other students.
(16) Detail of Seats
The detail of seats under merit and other Provincial quotas etc. for all the above
certificate/degree courses is given in the Allocation of Seats chart, appended in the guidelines.

discipline and conduct, hostel accommodation, fee structure, and other details etc. may be
