DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL SERVICES Division of State Fire Marshal Bureau of Fire Standards & Training Title: FIRESAFETY INSPECTOR I CERTIFICATION RENEWAL Revised Date: March 24, 2015 Firesafety Inspector I - Renewal Every Firesafety Inspector I Certificate is valid for a period of 4 years from the date of issuance. Renewal of certification is subject to the affected person completing a proper application for renewal and meeting all of the requirements, which must include completion of at least 54 hours during the preceding 4 year period of continuing education as required by the rule of the department or, in lieu thereof, successful passage of an examination as established by the department. NOTE: Per 69A-39.009(1)(b). For a certificate renewed or reissued on or after January 1, 2015, at least eight of the 54 hours required by this subparagraph must consist of education or training related to the application of the Florida Fire Prevention Code adopted in Chapter 69A-60, F.A.C.
