Employment Opportunity --- Utility Worker
Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Relations
The Town of Riverview is currently seeking a Utility Worker for the Department of Parks,
Recreation and Community Relations. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of tasks
related to maintaining municipal buildings, recreational facilities, public grounds and
departmental equipment. Regular communication with departmental staff, other municipal staff
and the public is an integral part of the position.
The Utility Worker position reports directly to the Supervisor of Parks and Recreation Facilities.
Job Requirements:
 High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
 Valid Class 5 New Brunswick driver’s licence;
 Relevant work experience including facility maintenance; and, equipment use and routine
maintenance;
 Ability to take initiative and work independently;
 Ability to work with minimal supervision;
 Ability to understand and follow safe work policies as outlined by the Town of Riverview
and the province of New Brunswick;
 Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and/or extended hours, when required.
The position is full-time permanent and is represented by CUPE Local 2162. Salary is according to
the collective agreement. The Town of Riverview offers an attractive benefits package, a
