Outcome of Applications Submitted for the NRF-DST Scarce Skills Development
Fund Programme for Postdoctoral Research Fellowships Call for 2015
The National Research Foundation (NRF) is pleased to announce the provisional Post-Doctoral Scarce
Skills Development Fund (SSDF) awards for 2015. The Department of Higher Education and Training
(DHET) commits grant funds from the National Skills Fund towards the Scarce Skills Development Fund
Programme that supports students at South African higher education institutions (HEI’s) and science
councils. Fellowships are open only to bonafide South African citizens and permanent residents. We
congratulate the 2015 awardees. The list of successful applications from the different institutions, are
indicated in the tables below.
PLEASE NOTE:

If your name is listed in the tables below, you have been successful in receiving an award, the
NRF will be sending out award letters to successful candidates over April 2015.

Once you receive the conditions of the award (NRF agreement), please carefully read through
the documentation before accepting the award.

All signed and complete documentation must be sent via your university post graduate funding
office, research office or financial aid office to the NRF.

Funds will only be released when all the required documentation is completed by the applicant
and received by the NRF.
