MEDICATION: It is essential that you take enough prescription medication with you for the entire tour. Please note that all medication [both prescription and non-prescription] must be in its original packaging. Please carry a letter from your Doctor authorising your medication for customs purposes. It is strongly recommended that you also carry something for sniffles and coughs, even if you don’t use it. Pharmacies may not always be accessible and medications are named differently in some countries.! ! VACCINATIONS: Please consult your own Doctor or Travel Doctor for up to date medical information on any vaccinations you may require for your tour.! ! MONEY: It is always a good idea to carry some cash in the local currency. Credits cards such as Mastercard and Visa are generally accepted at most places. You may want to consider a preloaded currency card to avoid fees.! ! LUGGAGE: Airlines require that your suitcase must not weigh more that 20 kg and total linear measurement [i.e. length + depth + width] not exceed 150 cm. As a customs requirement, you need to be able to handle your luggage yourself at the airports. Whilst on tour your luggage will be delivered to your room at each motel.! ! HAND LUGGAGE: Is to be no more than 6 kg and total linear measurement not exceeding 100 cm. Cabin luggage must consist of 1 item maximum. [Eg. Handbag or Camera Bag or Travel Bag.] Please note that strict rules apply to items carried in your hand luggage during flights, including sharp objects, liquids, aerosols and gels. We will further advise you of these rules at the information morning tea prior to your tour, or you can contact our office for further details.! ! CLOTHING: It can get very cold in Canada/Alaska. We suggest you pack a waterproof [not rain resistant] jacket to protect from rain and spray while on the glacier. Thermal underwear and warm clothing including scarf, gloves and beanie are advised. Choose comfortable , warm layers of clothing for travel and smart casual wear for Highlight Dinners.! !
