playing all your favorite Oldies & Classic Beach Music tunes. The Cruise-In will
be from 6 pm to 9 pm every Wednesday April through September. There will be
Door Prizes, Half & Half Drawing, Giveaways for the car owners. We will be helping the Shriners
Keystone Kops raise money for the Shriner’s Hospital For Children. Friend’s Sports Bar will provide

the State of South Carolina as an IRS 501(3)(c) tax-exempt status. Since 1991 the HOFF has quietly
and compassionately helped countless folks in the shag community who are in financial need due to
loss of jobs, chronic medical bills, and natural disasters. A sample of the things the HOFF has helped
fellow shaggers with over the years include: wheel chairs, medical expenses, rehabilitation, funeral
costs, and many more too numerous to list. As a board member I can truly say they live up to their
motto of "Friends offering friends a helping hand in a time of need"

Kennedy Scholarship was started in 1996 in memory of Dewey who loved the dance and junior
shaggers. The annual scholarship is open to those 22 years of age or younger who are currently
attending school or are planning on furthering their education by attending college or technical school.
The Beth Mitchell Scholarship (www.shagnationals.com/scholarship-info) In memory of 1998
National Non-Pro Champion, the National Shag Dance Championship Board of Directors established
the Beth Mitchell Memorial Scholarship to assist in the education of worthy college students who have
competed or whose parents have competed in the Nationals. The scholarship foundation is a

The Ellen Taylor Foundation for Junior Shaggers (www.ellentaylorfoundation.org) Founded in
2007 by Shag Hall of Famer Ellen Taylor, this SC 501(3)(c) organization fills a much needed
charitable gap in our shag community. The goal of the foundation is to simply remove financial
barriers that might prevent those under 21 from participating in shag events. For example, Ellen's
foundation has quietly provided money for gas, lodging, transportation, and food for many kids to
attend Junior SOS, Shag Nationals, and other shag events. It helps juniors through three main
programs - assistance to attend events, free shoes, and by sponsoring junior shag workshops.
