Yashawantrao Chavan. The College is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and is acting as a vital education center for many years. The institute offers 5 UG programs in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Information Technology and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and also 6 PG programs in Civil (Construction Management & Structural Engg.), Mechanical (Heat Power & Production Engg.), Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). Amongst the sixteen institutes from Maharashtra state selected for participation in the second phase of Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP-II) – an ambitious project of Government of India., Govt. College of Engineering, Karad is one of them. KARAD CITY Karad city is situated on the confluence of rivers Krishna and Koyna and is well connected by rail and road (NH 4). Koyana dam is about 60 kms from Karad. This place is 170 kms far from Pune and 70 kms from Kolhapur. PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES Introduction in Basic science trigger the changes in technology with respect to industry and society. The material and Technology have become a part and parcel of everybody’s life. Hence work on the materials and their applications in engineering and technology will remains forever. The STTP aims to provide an excellent platform for the participant to exchange of views and enrich knowledge on new trends and determine challenges ahead in materials by devising new technology. EXPERTS Experts from renowned institutes like IIT, NIT and Emeritus scientist will be delivering the lectures. COURSE CONTENTS Advanced Material – Optical, Electronic, Optoelectronic, Magnetic, Polymer, Nuclear, Composite. Nanomaterials – Synthesis, Characterization, Technology. Renewable Energy Technologies and Energy Storage Devices. Semiconductor, Superconductor and Supercapacitor Devices. Green Chemistry and Catalysis FEES The registration fee shall be Rs. 1000/- for each participant. Traveling, Lodging, boarding and other expenses will have to be borne by the participant. Accommodation will have to be managed by the participants only. However, the guidance will be provided for accommodation.
