Athlete Identification: Identification of new athletes based on measurable wrestling specific parameters b. Athlete Development: Development of talented athletes within enhanced environments 2. To develop a program plan that will positively promote High Performance Athlete Development. 3. To provide our Cadet athletes with high quality National and International training and competition experience. 4. Integration of the Gold Medal Profile: a. Tracking an individual athlete against a performance progression model. b. Identifying the critical performance components, which underpin success at the International level. Intention to participate deadline: TBD Athletes will be required to demonstrate a commitment to an approved training and competition program, leading into and during the 2015 – 2016 season. Both athletes and personal coaches must be in constant communication with Tonya Verbeek, Talent ID Coach and Alex Davidson, High Performance Manager in order to collaborate on best practices and ensure the optimal preparation and execution of the athletes training and competition program. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS: The highest ranked athlete in each weight class will be eligible, pending nomination from the National coaching staff. Final team selection will be based on international performance at the 2015 Cadet Pan Am Championships and/or 2015 International Tour (1 of the 2 tournaments are mandatory), 2015 Ontario Cup / Talent ID camp, as well as evaluation of overall performance and commitment to the 2015 – 2016 Cadet National Team program. FUNDING: Athletes will be expected to pay their invoice, in full, prior to departure. Any subsidization for the Pan Am Championships and/or International Tour will be subtracted from the invoice prior to it being issued. UWW CADET NATIONAL “B” FREESTYLE TEAM PROGRAM PLAN 1.
