Fixed Wing Mapping Drone
The 3DroneMapping Inyoni Fixed Wing Mapping UAS is an all-inone solution for creating high-resolution aerial maps. The fixed-wing
platform offers incredible endurance and scope of coverage, with
100 minutes of flight time and up to 900ha of coverage. It’s the
perfect platform for regularly acquiring highly detailed and actionable
data for large-scale survey operations such as farming, construction
and conservation, as well as search and rescue and emergency
response.
A complete, Ready-to-Map Package
This African first is the ultimate long range aerial mapping solution.
With unparalleled endurance, flexibility and robustness, this UAS is
sure to be both an essential tool for the surveyor, farmer or property
developer. The Inyoni (Zulu, meaning “bird”) is packed with the latest
technology known to UAS and is future ready for any new
improvements and addons.
Pixhawk Powered Autopilot
The 32bit Pixhawk powered autopilot has a multitude of failsafes and
other configurable options. Its high speed processor and added
memory allow it to perform much more complex calculations in flight
than ever before. With both an internal and external compass for
accurate bearing measurements, a barometer for precise altitude
calculations and the ever important uBlox GPS module for pin point
positioning. The on-board SD card allows for detailed logging in-flight
and is accessible via a micro USB port conviniently located on the
side of the UAS for log data post flight and analysis or
georeferencing images. The arm/disarm switch disables all power to
servos or the motor making the UAS much safer to handle. The high
powered telemetry radios deliver all the data of the fliht to the ground
station to give a real time overview of the conditions of the UAS
inflight.

Super Endurance Design
The endurance of the Inyoni is unparalleled in any category known to
civilian UAS. Tests have shown that the Inyoni can reliably do a
mapping mission of 100 minutes safely before the battery is at the
critical 20% level. This 100 minutes can be translated to 900ha at
10cm/pixel. The design of the wings dramatically increases the
stability of the UAS by limiting roll with crosswinds. As most aerial
surveys are designed to run perpendicular to cross winds, this is a
big advantage over other systems.
Camera Shutter Triggered Automatically
Just turn on the camera and it will take a frame exactly when needed
as set by you in the Mission Planner sidelap and overlap settings.
Our autopilot-to-camera cable takes care of all that. It even opens
the lens after takeoff to reduce dust contamination and retracts the
lens body just before landing. No need to fiddle with settings and
focus controls and extra unnecessary images bulking up the SD card
and draining the battery.
Orthorectify 3D maps
Use of the optional Agisoft Photoscan will turn your images into a
fully othorectified image ready for GIS use. Raw and uncorrected
data can produce maps to accuracies of 1-5m but with pre surveyed
control points, the accuracy can be as good as 1cm or less.

NDVI Calculations – NGB Converted Camera
We also offer a converted Canon NGB Camera, in which we have
replaced the filter in the camera to allow the camera to capture both
visible light and infrared light. Using ratios of visible light to infrared
light, we can calculate NDVI, which allows for the detection of crop
health. The Inyoni is capable of flying with both a NGB and RGB
camera and are triggered simultaneously. This is a first for any fixed
wing UAS and delivers much more accurate NDVI calculation.
Newer and more accurate cameras will be released by May 2015.
This camera is useful for determining plant stresses and crop health.
Carry case
Our lightweight transport case protects your Inyoni UAS from all the
bumps and dings or travel. There is plenty of space for all your
radios, batteries, spares and cameras
