How to Start/Restart/Stop your server
1.) Visit the URL http://jhb-gp1.8frag.co.za:8880 if you are renting a South African game server or
http://sto1.8frag.com:8880 if you are renting a Swedish game server
2.) Enter your username and password which has been provided to you.
3.) On the left hand side click on “Game Services”.

4.) You will see the Start button in front of you.
5.) Once the server has been started, the Restart and Stop button will appear.

How to update and validate your server files
1.) Once you have logged in and have opened “Game Services”. Simply click on “Steam Update”.

How to change your configuration
1.) Once you have logged in, and have opened Game Services. Click on File Manager.
2.) Navigate to “/csgo/cfg/”. To edit the configuration file you will need to click on the pencil on the right
hand side of “server.cfg”.

3.) The file “server.cfg” contains the entire server configuration. Once you are done editing click on
“Save”.
Some servers have configuration settings in “gamemode_competitive_server.cfg”. This file is in the same
folder as “server.cfg”.
Be careful of having duplicate settings in “gamemode_competitive_server.cfg” and “server.cfg”. This will
cause configuration conflict and cause unexpected behaviour.
4.) You will need to restart the server or change the map for your new configuration to take effect.

How to Create Practice Configuration
1.) Once you have logged in, and have opened Game Services. Click on File Manager.
2.) Navigate to “/csgo/cfg/”. Click on “New File”.

3.) Name the file “prac.cfg”. (The name can be made anything)
4.) Insert your practice configuration. Once done click “Save”.

6.) To execute your practice settings do the following:

Join the server
Open your console
type “rcon_password yourpasswordhere”
type “rcon exec prac.cfg”
7.) To get your servers default configuration loaded, please restart your server.
Some clans have multiple practice configuration files to hone different skills such as grenades or aim.

Most Commonly used Practise Cvars/Configurations
•
sv_cheats 1
Enables “cheats”.
•
mp_limitteams 0
No team limit (e.g. you can have 10 people/bots on CT and 1 guy on T).
•
mp_autoteambalance 0
Turns auto team balance off.
•
mp_roundtime 60
Maximum roundtime set to 60 minutes.
•
mp_roundtime_defuse 60
Maximum rountime set to 60minutes.
•
mp_maxmoney 60000
Enables your maximum money to be 60.000 instead of 16.000.
•
mp_startmoney 60000
You will start with 60.000 money.
•
mp_freezetime 0
No freezetime in the beginning of each round.
•
mp_buytime 9999
Almost unlimited buytime.
•
mp_buy_anywhere 1
You can open the buy menu and buy from anywhere on the map.
•
sv_infinite_ammo 1
Gives you infinite ammo and no reload. When practicing recoil patterns, you might want to set
this to sv_infinite_ammo 2. This way you will have to reload.
•
ammo_grenade_limit_total 5
You can now have all 5 grenade types.
•
bot_kick
Kicks all the bots. If you want to add bots, check the bot commands below.
•
mp_warmup_end
End warmup.

mp_restartgame 1
After the config is loaded, the server will restart the game after 1 second.
•
sv_grenade_trajectory 1
Show a trajectory when you throw grenades. Especially useful when practicing nades.
•
sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10
Expands the time where you can see the trajectory to 10 seconds.
•
sv_showimpacts 1
Show bullet impacts, especially useful when practising spread control and recoil patterns.
(Due to a CS:GO bug you will need to restart your game client after using this Cvar otherwise every game
you join thereafter will display bullet impact)
Useful binds
•
bind “KEY” “noclip”
Toggle fly mode (noclip) on/off.
•
bind “KEY” “give weapon_hegrenade;give weapon_flashbang;give weapon_smokegrenade;give
weapon_incgrenade;give weapon_molotov;give weapon_decoy”
Gives you all the grenades available.
•
bind “KEY” “cast_ray”
Casts a ray/straight line to test collision detection.
“KEY” is any button on your keyboard. Each time you press that button it will execute the command you
bound.
Other useful console commands

Toggle god mode on/off.
•
cl_showpos 1
Show current position in top right corner of the screen.

Bot console commands
•
bot_add_t
Add a bot to T team.
•
bot_add_ct
Add a bot to CT team.
•
bot_kick
Kicks all the bots from the game.
•
bot_stop 1
Stops the bots, they will stand still and do nothing.
•
bot_mimic 1
Bots will mimic your movements and actions, bot_mimic 0 to turn off again.

RCON is used to execute commands as the server from your console.

bot_quota 0
Determines the total number of bots in the game.
•
bot_quota_mode normal
Determines the type of quota. Allowed values: normal, fill, and match. If fill, the server will adjust
bots to keep number of players.
•
mp_warmuptime 120
How long the warmup period lasts. Changing this value resets warmup.
•
mp_free_armor 0
Determines whether armor and helmet are given automatically.
•
mp_forcecamera 1
Restricts spectator modes for dead players. 0 = Any team. 1 = Only own team. 2 = fade to black
•
spec_freeze_time 2.0
Time in seconds for death camera over-viewing body
Time spend frozen in observer freeze cam.
•
tv_name "GOTV Clan name - [Hosted by 8Frag]"
Set GOTV name
•
tv_title "Clan name - [Hosted by 8Frag]"
Set title for GOTV spectator UI.
•
tv_password 123
GOTV password for all clients.
•
mp_maxrounds 30
