What’s your passion or What’s your issue
workshop
Noon – 1:00 PM | 235 Student Union
This workshop allows students the opportunity to explore social issues and focus on
an issue of personal interest. Utilizing their passion, students will consider their role in
making change in their community. Students will have the opportunity to take this a step
further by attending the Thought into Action workshop offered on Tuesday, March 31st.

Service- Learning Panel Discussion
8:30 AM – 10:30 AM | 107 Capen
This session will explore best practices for establishing successful relationships
between campus and community partners. Veronika Scott will share her story, offer her
expertise and provide strategies for faculty and staff to lay the foundation for successful
service learning curriculum. Cathleen Morreale from the Center for Educational
Innovation will present a 20 minute mini-workshop on the basics of Service
Learning, how it can be beneficial as a pedagogical tool for faculty and next steps to
implementation. Session will include a facilitated Q&A session with faculty who teach
service-learning seminars.

Thought to Action Workshop
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM | 145 A Student Union
Rachel DiDomizio, Office of Student Engagement
Using their passion as a driving force, this workshop will challenge students to set
realistic goals to create social change. Through interactive activities and discussions,
students will explore proven models and learn the steps necessary to put a plan
into action.
