Sun: Sometimes, I think Mother Earth doesn’t know what she’s worth.
Moon: Right? She’s always mixed up with trash.
Sun: Hopefully, it works out with this new auto repair guy, Eco-Friendly Auto Center. Not only is he the first
green-certified auto shop in the state, but services like biodegradable and re-refined oil changes ($25-$60) and
eco-tire (more gas mileage) installations show he really appreciates her.
Moon: Totally. I heard he collects all the old lube and sends it out to be re-refined for an alternate use, so it
doesn’t clog her system. He also buys in bulk (meaning fewer plastic containers) and recycles nearly everything in
the store.

Nostalgia can be triggered by the darnedest things — a bite of comfort food, a whiff of perfume, a song on the
radio.
For Nadia Dayan: rear ends.
More specifically, it was a lack of proper bikini bottoms that made her miss her native Argentina. After taking
private sewing classes, Dayan came up with CameloPardus, a swimsuit collection reminiscent of the bodyflattering looks she’s accustomed to back home.
All suits are handmade in the designer’s South Beach studio with locally purchased Lycra in nautical stripes,
comic-book cartoons, florals, and leopard print. Since Dayan designs with her clients’ diverse bodies in mind,

Mentor2Mentor from Strong Women, Strong Girls
Ladies Who Launch (Careers)
Only you can say whether that liberal arts degree (Zombies in Poetry and Cinema: four credits) prepared you for
real life.
No, you can’t turn back time but you can share your sage advice with university students in need of guidance.
The local chapter of Strong Women, Strong Girls just launched Mentor2Mentor, a program pairing college
women (from UM, FIU, and Miami Dade College) with young working professionals (i.e., bringing home the
bacon for at least three years).
It’s a five-hour commitment per month for two semesters. Mentors and mentees create goals and chat by phone, in
person, or via text. Divulging your hunch punch recipe is not encouraged, but shedding some light on the art of
resume writing, networking,
and choosing a career path should help you both earn high marks.
