HOW TO MAKE THE REAL BREAD MIX USING A BREAD MAKER. Below are tips from our customers about how to make the real bread mix using a bread maker. Because each bread maker is slightly different, different instructions are needed. If you have a bread maker that is not listed below, we recommend that you ensure the mix is well combined after the beating cycle, (if not scrape down the sides and beat for a few minutes longer), and that you cook on a standard setting with a dark crust (or longest cooking time option). Use a 1 kg setting if possible. Many people have also had success by mixing it in mixer first, then putting it in the bread maker to cook. In general the newer machines also create a better result. Breville Breville Ikon Cook on a standard setting. Decrease the salt to .5 tsp. Breville Bakers Oven 3 Add all ingredients to the bread pan. You may need to help combine the mix in the beginning, by scraping down the sides and increasing the mixing time. (Only do this if the ingredients have not mixed in by themselves) Cook on a light setting. Breville Bread Maker Place water in bread maker. Add salt, sugar and 2 teaspoons of yeast. Use the French Bread setting with the dark crust setting and the 1kg size selected. Breville Nut Dispensing Bread Maker Butter the bread pan Add the dry ingredients and warm water to the pan (you may need to scrape down the sides if not combined well) Select the Manual setting on the Bread Maker • Preheat 0 min • Knead 1 0 min • Knead 2 10 min • Rise 1 30 min • Punch 15 sec • Rise 2 20 min • Shaping 0 min (Another word for “punch down”) • Rise 3 0 min • Bake 70 min • Temp 150 degrees Sunbeam Sunbeam Compact Bakehouse Place all the dry ingredients in the bread maker and then add 450ml warm water. Add an extra 10 minutes of cooking to the program. Sunbeam Cool Touch Bakehouse Make the mix according to instructions. At the end of the first beating, beat for a few extra minutes to ensure it is all combined. Place in the bread maker tin and allow it to rise to the bread oven. Bake using the cake setting (7) and select the longest baking time. Panasonic Panasonic Bread Maker Put dry ingredients into bread pan (use only 1 tsp yeast) and mix together with hand then add 550ml warm water. Place bread pan into machine and put on the gluten free cycle. (When it starts mixing, you may need to scrape down the mixture at the sides if it has not mixed completely) Other points to remember: If you are cutting the bread to freeze, allow it to cool before cutting it, otherwise it will collapse. Sugar is required to help activate the yeast. However, you can increase the sugar to your own taste. If you prefer a softer crust, you can decrease the salt.
