3. FORMAT : 36 Hole Stroke Play ( Gross Score). Individual Championship. Tournament will
be played in accordance with the rules of Golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club,
St Andrews and the local rules of the host club as approved by the Tournament Committee.
4. Conduct of Tournament: Cats A to D (36 holes) & Cat E (18 holes). Designated qualifier for
Optimist & Veritas Jr Tournaments, USA. The following minimum handicap applies for entries

5. Age Eligibility/Criteria : Tournament is open to Boys & Girls. All amateur players
conforming in all aspects to the Rules of Amateur Status as laid down by the R & A between
the ages of 6 – 17 years ( not have reached the 18th birthday as per the cut-off date as
specified below) are eligible to play. A player's age as on April 10, 2015 will determine
his/her age category, for the tournament. Entries are accepted online only on
www.albatross.co.in last date April 5, 2015.
6. Refund Policy : An entry fee will only be refunded wherein a written request / mail is
received from the player seeking withdrawal/cancellation of their entry”. Last date for
cancellation/seeking refund is April 5 , 2015. Refunds are governed by AJT policy on
subject.
7. Player Registration : Registration is mandatory and all Players are required to
register/check in, at the Registration Desk, set up at the Club house, from 0700 to 0830 H, on
April 9, 2015 (Day 1 only) .
8. Optional Practice Round : April 7 & 8th, 2015.
Players may book Tee timings/slots directly with GG's (Narendera : 9910593821), on
payment of Subsidized Green Fee @ Rs 700.00 per player/round.

10. Draw &Tee Offs : Tee offs for all cats, shall commence (staggered start) from Tee No.1 &
10 at 0730 H, as per Draw. Draw for Day 1 (as determined by AJT/TD) shall be posted online
(www.albatross.co.in) & posted on the Tournament Notice Board by 1400 hrs on April 9,
2015. Draw for Day 2, will be based as per gross scores. The Tournament Director reserves
the right to alter the draw and change the grouping to facilitate smooth conduct of the
tournament.
11. Time of Reporting / Starting : A player is responsible for finding out his / her starting time
from the host club / www.albatross.co.in. All players are required to report at their
respective Tee / Starter’s Desk 10 minutes before their scheduled tee off time. Player’s
failure to report at the tee beyond 5 minutes of starting time shall lead to
DISQUALIFICATION. (Note Rule 6 – 3a).
12. Preliminary Cut : A preliminary cut may be applied as under if the combined field is more
than 75 players (less Cat E). However, a minimum field of 12 boys & 6 girls will be
maintained in each age category.

13. Maximum 10 Stroke Rule (Cats D & E only): A player in categories D & E, shall take no
more than 10 strokes to complete a hole. Once 10 strikes have been completed, a player
must pick up his/her ball and wait for the other players in the group to complete the hole
and record a score of 10 for that hole.
14. Recording of Scores : All score cards (issued by the Tournament Committee) must be
completed and signed in pen. The correct recording of scores will be the responsibility of the
players, as per the Rules of Golf 6-6, each player will be assigned a “marker” to record the
score of another player in the same group. A card is deemed to have been submitted once
the player leaves the " Scoring Area".
15. Scoring Area : is located in the member's lounge (club house), near the GG's Pro-shop.
16. Caddie Policy : Caddies are mandatory for all categories. A player is prohibited from
having Parents / relatives / professional golfer/ coaches, another player in the competition
serve as his caddie during the stipulated round (exceptions : A parent may however caddie
players of Categories D and E). Use of Outside/Pvt caddy is permitted during the
tournament (Club fee Rs 300 applies for non usage of club caddie). Caddie Fee per round is
Rs. 570/300 (inclusive of taxes) for 18/9 holes, is payable directly to the host club (Proshop/Reception). Manual push/pull carts are permitted (non-motorized & non battery
operated).
17. Spectator Policy: Gallery / spectators are permitted to walk on the course and are
restricted to the cart path/tree line / roughs and must maintain a distance of 25 meters from
the players and also to take care not to obstruct any player. Gallery is not permitted to
interact / advise / instruct / interfere with any player. First violation: verbal warning; second
infringement: 2 stroke penalty to the player involved and spectator removed from the
course. Spectators are not permitted to ride carts unless authorized by the TC.
18. Local Rules: of the host course will apply. A copy of the local rules will be made available
to all players.
19. Range Measuring Devices & Mobile phones during the course of play are not permitted.
