About the School ‘Al Mizan (Primary) and London East Academy (secondary) schools aim to contribute towards the preparation of a new generation of Hufaaz, Ulama and Duat for Europe & beyond, who will fulfil their duties to the Creator and His creation as responsible citizens. The environment, displays of students’ work, manners of staff and students, teaching methods, and all of its activities reflect the teachings of Islam. The Al Mizan and London East Academy are situated in one of the largest and vibrant Islamic centres in Western Europe hosting Muslims and non-Muslims from all over the world. The school has capitalised on the premises, activities and the resources of the London Muslim Centre to enrich the students and the teaching & learning environment. The centre provides the students with a much valued identity and they have come to appreciate the great part it plays in their lives. The School is fully equipped with up to date resources and apparatus necessary to teach all the subjects to a high standard. The purpose built classrooms are equipped with modern technology that includes interactive white boards. In addition to standard classroom facilities the school has a purpose built science lab; fully equipped ICT suite and a library with books and audiovisual materials. The London East Academy, the secondary provision is based on the second floor of the LMC, whilst Al Mizan Primary, is just above the East London Mosque. Its newly furnished classrooms have brand new facilities to provide good quality education.
