ITINERARY IN BRIEF
TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Days 1-5: August 25-29, 2016
Depart U.S./Istanbul
 Explore fascinating Istanbul. Tour the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia,
Topkapi Palace, and more in Old Istanbul. Take a private cruise on the
Bosphorus, the waterway that separates Europe from Asia. Visit the
Grand Bazaar, the covered market housing some 5,000 shops along 60
“streets.”
Day 6: August 30, 2016
Assos/Troy
 See the World War I battlefield of Gallipoli, the haunting site of 31
Allied cemeteries from World War I. Ferry across the Dardanelles to
the ruins of ancient Troy.
Days 7-8: August 31-September 1, 2016
Izmir/Ephesus
 Explore one of Turkey’s most spectacular ancient sites: windswept
Pergamum with a wealth of Hellenistic ruins. Tour Ephesus, the world’s
best-preserved classical city. Enjoy lunch in the rustic village of Sirince.
Visit a carpet factory to watch a demonstration of this age-old craft.
Days 9-12: September 2-5, 2016
Turquoise Coast cruise
 Cruise for four nights aboard a privately chartered gulet yacht. See
secluded coves and hidden sites that few visitors see including the
Sunken Baths of Cleopatra, a Greek “ghost town,” and a 6th-century
Byzantine monastery. Enjoy opportunities for swimming, snorkeling,
hiking, and relaxing.
Days 13-14: September 6-7, 2016
Antalya
 Visit the ruins of ancient Perge while staying in the Mediterranean resort
Antalya. Explore Antalya’s charming Old Town, including Hadrian’s
Gate and the Yivli Minare, and its acclaimed Archaeological Museum.
Day 15: September 8, 2016
Depart for U.S.
 Board an early morning flight for your return to the U.S.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, elements of the tour are still being finalized. Your deposit will
be fully refundable until all details, including pricing, are complete. Our tour operator, Odysseys
Unlimited, will be in touch with you in January 2016 when the final tour details and tour brochure
is available. At that time, you will have 2 weeks to decide whether you would like to convert your
preliminary registration to a confirmed booking or to cancel and receive a full refund. Once
confirmed, the cancellation penalties as outlined in the brochure will apply. You will then receive
a confirmation packet plus information regarding the purchase of optional trip insurance and
travel protection.
Tour Prices
$4,592 total price from Boston, Houston, New York. Please call for prices from other cities. Prices are
per person based on double occupancy and include airline taxes, fuel surcharges, and departure fees of
$397, which are subject to change until final payment is made. Land only price is $3,595; arrival and
departure transfers not included with land only cost. Single travelers please add $1,095. A 5-day/4-night
post-tour extension to Cappadocia & Ankara is available for $995 total price (single supplement is $195).
Business Class upgrade on round-trip international flight is available on a request basis – please call for
details. Note: This trip involves considerable walking on uneven or cobblestone streets and at the sites of ancient ruins. You
should be in good physical condition to enjoy the tour to the fullest.
