study for serious students ages 11-22.

students take classes with well established modern, jazz and theatre dance teachers

offers an exposure to a variety of dance forms to optimize proficiency,

o Classical Ballet Intensive—June 21-July 25
 Designed to give students aged 12 – 21 an immersive experience in traditional
Ballet Technique, Pointe, Men’s Class, Pas de Deux, Character, and Classical
Repertory taught by UNCSA faculty and our distinguished guest artists.
 Other classes offered will include Yoga, Acting, Somatics, Music, Hip-Hop
Repertory, and Jazz Repertory.
 Auditions are required—January 19th, Ballet Academy of Texas in Coppell
o Commercial Dance Intensive—July 12-July 25
 Ages 13+
 Will focus on the specific genres of dance needed for a career in the
commercial dance field including Jazz, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, and
Contemporary styles
 Additional classes in Acting, Ballet, Voice, Rockette/heels, and Dance for Film
will be included.

 Texas Ballet Theater Summer Intensive (Fort Worth)

o Texas Ballet Theater's Summer Intensive offers aspiring, qualified students an
opportunity to advance their ballet education through the Company
o Auditions are required—February 21st, Texas Ballet Theater in Fort Worth
o Limited scholarships are awarded at the sole discretion of Texas Ballet Theater
Artistic Staff and the School. All students are considered for merit-based scholarships
and there is no application process.

 Students take daily ballet classes supplemented by additional modern and jazz
classes. Advanced girls may also take pointe; advanced boys may take boys'
ballet.
o Professional Division Intensive (Ages 16-25), June 29-August 7
 The weekly curriculum includes a daily ballet class, and a daily modern
technique class of either Horton and/or Graham–based modern.
 A distinct variety of supplementary techniques include jazz, Dunham
technique, hip-hop, tap, body conditioning, yoga, Gyrokinesis®, barre à terre
and repertory or elective workshops.

Six Week School Workshop—ages 16+
 June 11-July 25
 Courses offered reflect the traditions of modern dance as well as the new and
risky explorations that push the art form forward (Modern, Ballet, Composition,
Improvisation, Yoga, Repertory).
 Possibilities abound with up to forty classes a day and a roster of seventy
faculty members.
 Students create and personalize their own schedules

 Students take one dance somatics class and three technique classes a day,
Monday through Friday, with additional classes scheduled on weekends and
select evenings.
