Acceptance into ADT’s Summer Intensive is by audition only.
All eligible dancers are required to be a minimum of 12 years of
age by the first day of the intensive. Students are also required to
have a minimum of 3 years formal ballet training so as to meet
the technical demands of the program.
All audition registration is available on site at each audition location as
well as online at www.alaskadancetheatre.org.

Cory Betts
Cory was born and raised in Sacramento, CA.
He received his formal training from Sacramento
Ballet and Northern California Dance Conservatory. His credits include performing at the prestigious Jacobs Pillow Summer Festival in Beckett,
MA and a tour through Austria with the Young
Tanszommer performance group. In 2013 he spent a season with Alaska
Dance Theatre under the direction of Gillmer Duran. Cory is currently a
member of Eugene Ballet Company.
Beth Maslinoff
Beth hails from Florida and began her training at Pofahl
Studio. She graduated from The HARID Conservatory
where she received the Rudolf
Nureyev Education Fellowship. As a member of Dance
Alive National Ballet, Beth originated a role in Kim Tuttle’s
ballet Dream that was performed for HSH Prince Albert II
of Monaco. Her international experience includes festivals in Japan and Brazil,
and finishing in the top 12 of the Senior Women’s Category at the 2012 Varna
International Ballet Competition in Bulgaria. Under the direction of Gillmer
Duran with Alaska Dance Theatre, she performed the premiere of Monuments
by Amy Seiwert. Beth is currently in her second season with Eugene
Ballet Company.

Jimmy Hao is an accomplished dancer, master
instructor and choreographer, having danced
and taught internationally for many years. Jimmy
has received numerous awards for excellence in
teaching as well as outstanding choreography in
dance competitions in China. Since relocating to
the United States, Jimmy has taught and choreographed for the UCLA
Dance Department, Los Angeles Modern Dance and Ballet, Malibu Civic
Ballet, Jazzantiqua Company, and has also served as Ballet Master at
Alaska Dance Theatre. Jimmy is currently teaching and directing the
dance program at Fresno City College of California.

Thomas Phelan
A late bloomer, Thomas didn’t begin his dance training
until his freshmen year of college. After years of tutelage
under Carol Roderick, Chung-Fu Chang, and Judy
Bejarano, he graduated with a BA in Performing Arts
from Colorado State University. Thomas also has training
in gymnastics, cheerleading, acro and diving. He worked
as an apprentice and eventually company member for Alaska Dance Theatre
from 2012-2013. Thomas is currently in his second season with Whim W’Him
Dance Company in Seattle WA.

Groups A and B will be assigned based on auditions. All students
accepted into ADT’s Summer Intensive are required to attend both
weeks of Summer Intensive. Summer intensive will finish with an
in-studio performance in our Alice Bassler-Sullivan Theatre with
family and friends invited to come and support our local dancers.
