Uruguay Triathlon Union USA Triathlon Venezuela Triathlon Federation Virgin Britain Islands Triathlon Federation Nicaragua Triathlon Federation 2.1 All starting positions assigned to a nation will be filled at the discretion of the NF. 2.2 Starting positions are not nominative of the specific athletes who secured them. 2.3 Each NF will be allowed to nominate up to 8 (eight) primary male athletes and up to 8 (eight) primary female athletes on a waiting-‐list. 2.4 Host country will be allowed to nominate up to 10 (ten) primary male athletes and up to 10 (ten) primary female athletes on a waiting-‐list. 2.5 The same athlete cannot qualify for more than one slot for NF. 2.6 Athletes must be between 16 (sixteen) and 19 (nineteen) years old by December 31, 2015. 2.7 The selected athletes must present their passport and birth certificate at time of registration in the competition. 2.8 CAMTRI may give slots as Special Invitations.. 3 ASSIGNMENT OF SLOTS • FOR STARTING POSITIONS OBTAINED AT THE 2014 ITU JUNIOR EDMONTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. 3.1 Slots 1 to 5 for Men. Slots 1 to 5 for Women. Total: 5 slots. 3.2 Will be assigned to the NFs in the order the NF’s athletes finished at the high positions, beginning with the first place finisher through the entire list of athletes who finished the competition. 3.3 When a FN has completed 8 (eight) slots (item 2.4) or 10 (ten) slots for the host country (item 2.5), including the criteria in section 3.2, the slot will no longer apply and this will be assigned to the following NF in descending order. • FOR STARTING POSITIONS OBTAINED IN EACH SUB REGION CHAMPIONSHIP. 3.4 Slots 6 to 65 for Men. Slots 6 to 65 for Women. der to athletes placed from the highest results, to complete the entire list of athletes who started the competition. 3.5.2 When a FN has completed 8 (eight) slots (item 2.4) or 10 (ten) slots for the host country (item 2.5), including the criteria in section 3.2, the slot will no longer apply and this will be assigned to the following NF in descending order. 3.6 Central Region: Central America and Caribbean Junior Triathlon Championship Puerto San Jose (Guatemala), April 18, 2015: 3.6.1 Will be assigned 20 (twenty) slots for men and 20 (twenty) slots for women to the NF in or-‐
der to athletes placed from the highest results, to complete the entire list of athletes who started the competition. 3.6.2 When a FN has completed 8 (eight) slots (item 2.4) or 10 (ten) slots for the host country (item 2.5), including the criteria in section 3.2, the slot will no longer apply and this will be assigned to the following NF in descending order. 3.7 Northern Region: North America Junior Triathlon Championship Sarasota (USA) March 14, 2015: 3.7.1 Will be assigned 20 (twenty) slots for men and 20 (twenty) slots for women in the NF in or-‐
der to athletes placed from the highest results, to complete the entire list of athletes who started the competition. 3.7.2 When a FN has completed 8 (eight) slots (item 2.4) or 10 (ten) slots for the host country (item 2.5), including the criteria in section 3.2, the slot will no longer apply and this will be assigned to the following NF in descending order. • STARTING POSITIONS FOR HOST COUNTRY (MEXICO). 3.8 Slots 66 to 75 for Men. Slots 66 to 75 for Women. Total: 10 slots. 3.9 Will be assigned to the host country NF. 3.10
If the host country NF already has obtained starting positions in any of the previous assignments, this number of starting positions will be deducted from the 10 male or 10 female starting positions allotted in Item 3.9 and these starting positions may be awarded by CAMTRI to any NF by Special Invitation. 4 ATHLETES REGISTRATION. 4.1 The individual athlete’s registration will be held exclusively by the ITU registration system, through its website www.triathlon.org. 4.2 CAMTRI will announce the preliminary allocation of starting positions mentioned in Item 3.2, no later than Friday, October 31, 2014. NFs may begin to perform the registration of athletes from that date. 4.3 CAMTRI will announce the preliminary allocation of starting positions mentioned in Item 3.4 on the following dates. 4.3.1 Southern Region: March 10, 2015. 4.3.2 Northern Region: March 17, 2015. 4.3.3 Central Region: April 21, 2015. 4.4 NFs are requested to confirm acceptance classified in any and/or all assigned positions on the start list until April 23, 2015. 4.5 Special Invitations should be requested within this period (March 10 to April 30). 4.6 CAMTRI will announce the preliminary allocation of starting positions in accordance with items 3.1 to 3.12, before April 25, 2015. 4.7 During the 30 days prior to the event, the athletes NFs can replace the athletes from the list. 4.8 In the development and improvement of sport, CAMTRI can consider allocate Special invitations.
