CUTTING REQUIREMENTS
Please read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so
measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces.
Twice as Nice Block
Sew a gray plaid 2½” strip to each side of a 2½” clean white solid strip.
Press. Repeat to create 3 strip segments. Cut the strips into 2½” segments
to make 42 Unit A’s.
Unit A
Sew a Unit A to each side of a clean white solid 2½” x 6½” rectangle to
create the Twice as Nice Block. Repeat to create 21 Twice as Nice Blocks.
Twice as Nice Block
Quilt Center Assembly
Refer to quilt photo for placement of Twice as Nice Blocks and Setting
Blocks. Lay out blocks in 7 rows of 6 blocks. Sew rows together to
complete the center of the quilt.
Borders
Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before
cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary
to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.
Border 1
Side borders should be 42½”. Top and bottom borders should be 42½”.
Border 2
Side borders should be 48½”. Top and bottom borders should be 54½”.
Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your
favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Twice as Nice Collection. Have fun with
your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
Twice as Nice Block
Cut 6 strips 2½” x WOF from gray plaid
Cut 3 strips 2½” x WOF from clean white solid
Cut 21 rectangles 2½” x 6½” from clean white solid
Setting Block
Cut squares 6½” x 6½” in the corresponding number from the following
assorted prints:
1–pink main, 2–blue garden, 1–pink garden, 1–blue truck
3–pink truck, 2–red truck, 1–pink dots, 2–red dots, 2–blue petals
2–red petals, 1–blue plaid, 1–blue blooms, 1–pink blooms
1–red blooms
Border 1
Cut 4 strips 3½” x WOF from blue dots
Border 2
Cut 5 strips 6½” x WOF from red main
