3 Kg line class challenge - Nickol Bay Sportfishing Club

NICKOL BAY SPORT FISHING CLUB PRESENTS
9-10 May 2015
RULES:
 Competition is open to Nickol Bay Sport Fishing Club members, Hampton harbour Boat and
Sailing Club, their family members and guests on their boat.
 ANSA sport fishing rules and State legislation applies (leader length, bag limits and fish

 Points will be worked out as per the ANSA system line class
 Only 1 fish per species per angler to be weighed in. All species on the ANSA list eligible
 The angler with the highest point score will be the winner.
 Each fish used for final score must have a minimum individual score of 100 points for an
adult capture or 80 points for a junior/ sub-junior capture as defined by the ANSA system.
 Fishing in local Pilbara waters west of Port Hedland to Onslow including the Monte Bello
Islands and all adjacent creeks including freshwater reaches.
 Fish must be presented in an edible/presentable condition and may be gilled and gutted,
however no allowances will be made to the weight of the fish for point scoring purposes.
FISHING TIMES AND WEIGH INS:
The Tournament will be run over two days of fishing. Fishing times, lines in at 6:00am Saturday 9th
May, lines out at 5:00pm. Lines in at 6:00am Sunday 10th May, lines out at 3:00pm.
Fish to be weighed in are to be presented to the weigh master at the Hampton Harbour Boat and
Sailing Club between 5:00pm-6:00pm Saturday 9th May and 3:00pm-4:00pm Sunday 10th May.
Any fish presented later than 6pm on Saturday 9th May and 4:00pm on Sunday 10th will not be
accepted for weigh in points for this competition.
Note: Anglers are permitted to weigh in fish caught on Saturday on the Sunday, however the fish
must remain in a presentable/edible condition to be eligible for competition point scores.

SAFETY:
The competition may be cancelled should bad weather or hazardous conditions as determined by
the competition organiser be likely. In this event, entry fees will be refunded. The skipper of the
vessel is ultimately responsible for the safety of the passengers. In this event a notice will be
issued on the clubs facebook page, alternately call Ryan Turner on 0400550911 to confirm.
PRIZES:
Highest point scoring angler wins the adult 3 Kg Competition and a prize. Prize also for the highest
point scoring junior or sub junior angler.

if no answer) or SMS is ok) before 9pm Friday
15TH May.
Please clearly state the names of anglers,
whether they are adults or juniors and the boat
or team name.
Payment can be made to Ryan during the
weigh in on either Saturday 16th or Sunday 17th
before the presentation.
