Our virtual rehabilitation system uses modern technology and provides new appeal for
residents. Instead of just doing exercises, the resident becomes more engaged through the
use of computer generated activities. Their image is captured by a camera so they’re
physically in the game, which encourages them to exercise longer and be more active.

Exercises on this system can assist in the rehabilitation of our residents who have difficulty
walking or sitting upright, have loss of flexibility or movement or reduced stamina and
endurance.
At Apex Rehabilitation and Healthcare, the Accelerated Care Plus equipment may be utilized as
part of the plan of care for residents in the facility’s rehabilitation program for:
• Pain and / or swelling
• A recent fall or fear of falling
• Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis
• Recovery from a joint replacement or fracture
• Heart failure / CHF
• Stroke recovery
• Muscle weakness
• Loss of movement
• Balance or coordination
problem
• Bladder problems
• Post-surgical recovery
