This interactive presentation defines many different types of CPE opportunities and how many of each you need. There is also a discussion of CPE that is not allowed by the Arkansas State Board and a summary of violations over the past years. Baldwin, Neal Pendergraft Professor of Accounting Harding University University of Arkansas Fort Smith This session will cover recent changes in the Code. Topics will include: the new four-part codified format, the new conceptual framework for determining acceptable and unacceptable risk threat levels, the various revisions in such areas as: terminology, relationship rules, financial interest rules, materiality and employment. The session will conclude with the presenter guiding participants in an applied research exploration of the Code. This session qualifies for 1 hour Ethics credit. This session will disuss the best practices for administration of technology and for online teaching (two separate, but related issues), including what the norms are for Arkansas institutions and the prevalence of online teaching of accounting in Arkansas. An overview of methods of teaching accounting online will be discussed. Flipping techniques and strategies that were successful, as well techniques and strategies that did not succeed, will be discussed. Participant questions and interactions are encouraged.
