COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATION TO RESOLUTION 92/98
Keeping up with
safety in electronics
Argentina remains one of the fastest growing markets in South
America, particularly in the electric and electronic products sector –
an area of significant potential that both local and international
manufacturers want to tap into. In order for safety to keep pace
with growth, DNCI (Dirección Nacional de Comercio Interior) issued
Resolution 92/98 which establishes mandatory safety requirements
for electrical and electronic products marketed in Argentina.
UL can help. With our OAA accreditation and SICyM recognition,
UL provides direct certification services for clients desiring to sell
electrical and electronic products in Argentina, whether
manufactured locally or imported. We are authorized to certify
all low-voltage equipment affected by Resolution 92/98, as well
as issue the “S” Mark and the “UL-AR” Mark.
UL can carry out product evaluation by full testing at accredited labs.
In many instances, facilitate certification for Argentina by using
existing client test data. UL services help to consider the full
spectrum of potential safety issues, ranging from national
deviations like voltage to certifications for plugs.
