Yarn Christmas Ball Cover
Materials:
Small amount of any of the following yarns: worsted weight
“soft” yarn, sport weight yarn, Speed CroSheen or Luster
Sheen
Crochet hook size E
2 1/4” clear glass ball ornament
Decorations as desired
Ch 6, join with a sl st to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in ring; (ch 5, sc in ring) 9 times; ch 2, join
with a dc to the first sc to form the last loop. (10 loops)

the dc to form the last loop. (10 loops)

Round 11: (Ruffle) Ch 6, sc in the 3rd ch from hook, (trc, ch
3, sc in the top of the trc for picot) 2 times in the same loop;
*(trc, ch 3, sc in the top of the trc for picot) 5 times in the next
loop.* Repeat from * to * 8 times; (trc, ch 3, sc in the top of
the trc for picot) 2 times in the first loop; join with a sl st to
the 4th ch of the beginning ch 6. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Finishing: Cut a 12” piece of yarn; weave in and out of round
1
10 loosely. Insert glass ball; pull yarn tightly around the
“neck” of the ball; knot securely and trim yarn. Arrange ruffle;
decorate as desired.
