It’s soft, it’s decadent, it has a pattern book! You’ll find this lovely yarn at River City Yarns Southside location. Not just for socks yarn We love our sock yarn, that goes without saying. But just because a yarn says “socks” doesn’t mean you have to make socks with it. Take Lang Mille Colori Socks & Lace yarn (pictured right). It’s one of our most popular yarns for shawls because the colours blend gradually and this singles yarn (no plies) is so soft. This machine washable yarn is great for any pattern calling for “fingering” weight. And we have more of our very popular Lang Jawoll Aktion sock yarn (above left). The beautiful colours in this hard-wearing, machine washable yarn make it perfect for “action” garments. Each ball comes with a spool of colour-coordinated reinforcement thread (very nice for heels and toes). These yarns are available at both RCY locations. What we’ve been up to Sue’s socks made from Regia Highland Tweed Sue T. loves to knit socks and she really likes Regia Highlander Tweed, a slightly thicker sock yarn. Sue sent us this photo of her husband’s feet and said, “No sooner did I get these Regia Highlander Tweeds finished and he had them on!” Maybe this is the secret to a long and happy relationship? Warm cozy feet? Rebecca L. sent us this photo of her lovely Persian cat staking claim to her River City Yarns shopping bag. We hear that it’s when the cat is out of the bag that your secret is out, so the cat in the bag is a good thing, right? We all think Rebecca’s cat has very good taste in bags!
