Do you suffer occasionally from itchy, tired eyes, a stiff neck or headaches? What about your back, shoulders and wrists - any niggling discomfort or pain there? Do you spend a considerable time at your desk, staring at a monitor? If your answer is ‘yes’ to any of these questions, we have good news for you! It’s possible to prevent and eliminate these health concerns, and you can learn how. With the guidance of experienced ergonomist and physiotherapist, Ron Lo, you will be taught the basic principles to consider when setting up a computer workstation. Specific recommendations will be offered on how best to arrange your home office, use your keyboard and mouse and set up your monitor. If more personalised advice is required, a home visit / consultation can be arranged. Short biography of presenter: Ron Lo is a Senior Ergonomics Advisor at Curtin University. He is currently completing an MA in Human Factors and Safety Management Systems, holds a graduate diploma in Ergonomics (2003), Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy (1996) and a Bachelor degree in Human Movement (1988).
