June 2015
Dear Churches,
Please let us know when you are going to have your Vacation Bible Schools
this summer so that (most importantly) we can be praying for you, and also
because some of our smaller or newer churches are in need of materials for their
VBS ministries this summer. If you would be willing to donate materials after
your VBS, it would be a real blessing to these churches and their communities.
Please email [email protected] or call (512) 454-2558 with the dates
of your Vacation Bible School and specify if you are willing to share any extra
materials. We will coordinate with the recipient churches after we hear from
you. Thank you!
September Monthly Meeting
We are taking the summer off for
monthly meetings and will resume on the
fifth Tuesday, September 29th, at the
Austin Baptist Association. The meeting
will begin at 9:00am and H.B. London
will be sharing with us. Please take note
that this is not our usual meeting time!
We will be sending out a reminder as the
time gets nearer, but please mark your calendars!
H.B. London is the Pastor to Pastors Emeritus for Focus on the
Family and served as the vice president of the Church and Clergy
Division of this ministry for almost 20 years. He has authored or
co-authored a long list of books and has a number of helpful resources
online as well, including The Pastor’s Weekly Briefing, The Shepherd’s
Covenant Encourager, a bi-monthly Pastor to Pastor audio series of
interviews, and has a weekly blog and podcast. We are so excited to have
him come and share with us!
To RSVP email [email protected] or call Ms. Rita at
(512) 454-2558.
Purpose Statement
The Austin Baptist Association is an alliance of participating churches fulfilling the Great Commission.
Vision Statement
The Austin Baptist Association will be a catalyst alongside Great Commission churches to reach all people groups
with the Gospel transforming our community and world through the power of God.
First Baptist Church Dripping Springs is looking for a music
minister! We are a small town, multigenerational church in
need of an individual to lead our choir and head our musical
worship Sunday mornings! Our lively congregation enjoys a
mix of traditional and contemporary worship music and we
are seeking an individual who is comfortable with music
from across the Christian genre. This is a part time position
and is scheduled to complement typical work hours. Please
contact us for further information at [email protected].
Create 2 Educate
Create 2 Educate partners with parents and churches in
training up the next generation to love the Lord. They
have a variety of resources, specifically focusing on ‘faith
based programs, games, and fundraisers.’ These inventive and relevant resources will be a great supplement to the work you do in discipling your family. One example is their game, “Missionary Madness.” The game is
played like bingo, and in addition to being fun, it creates
an awareness of the need for the Gospel in other countries, and encourages spiritual conversations.
Create 2 Educate emphasizes that Kids have daily
physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, as well as
spiritual. Training can be difficult and time consuming but
they have products and programs (and more) to help you
with this task. Their products are Biblically based and
easy to use. They have a heart to train children in the way
they should go and believe that feeding children on a
steady diet of Scripture is what will daily fill their hearts
with God’s love.
Our list of Christian partnerships is ever growing. Let us
know how you are daily handling spiritual “training”. We
have products that will make it fun and easy for you and
for the little ones you are teaching. Let us know how we
can partner with you!
Make an appointment to come by the Create 2 Educate
Showroom. We guarantee, you’ll leave with food for
thought and [email protected].

Is your church in
need of a Sunday youth
program? InterHigh is a
ministry that serves
churches without their
own youth pastors or
teachers, for free! A
team of 2 or 3 InterHigh
youth teachers drive to a church every Sunday and
run a youth service, complete with a message,
small groups, and fellowship, and are also
available to offer guidance for the students.
InterHigh is a ministry of Gracepoint Austin
Church, a congregation comprised of UT college
students and post-graduates, many of whom want
to serve as ministers of the Gospel in these
capacities. InterHigh has been serving churches in
the greater Austin area for the past 4 years and
looks forward to serving more churches this year.

The Singing Waiters
In the fall of 2013, 377 Austin area churches hosted
the largest spiritual conversation in Austin’s history
through the Explore God campaign. The time has come to
take the conversation to the next level, through the Art of
Neighboring.
We hope you’ll join us as we commit to engage with
our neighbors for the sake of the Gospel. If you choose to
register your church, you will receive Sermon Guides,
Small Group Study guides, and other resources to help
you and your congregation reach the city for Christ.
If you’d like more information, check out their website at
Christtogethergreateraustin.com or email Kathy Hebdon
at [email protected]
The Singing Waiters are a group of gospel singers
that specialize in lifting spirits. In a stressed out
world, the good old fashioned southern gospel
music of the 80’s and 90’s provides a welcome
escape.
Why wait to have your spirits lifted when you can
Hang Out with the Singing Waiters any Friday
night through Sunday afternoon for the most
uplifting hour of your week, guaranteed.
To Hang Out with the Singing Waiters, just call
Head Waiter Bill Eckhardt at
