#CaptureCameron competition at Australia Zoo: Terms and Conditions
1. Entries will be accepted from anywhere around the world, however, travel costs will not be
covered by Australia Zoo.
2. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.
Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this
promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, exspouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
4. Australia Zoo reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants and
to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms
and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.
5. The promotion commences 01/05/2014 and final entries will close at 5pm, 31/05/2015
AEST. Australia Zoo will select the winner on Facebook within 3 days of receiving the final
entries. The winner will be notified within 5 days of selection via Facebook.
6. To enter, winners must follow all steps of the competition:


Take an original photo of the family wrangling Cameron the crocodile statue and post it on
their Facebook wall with the tag #CaptureCameron
SHARE this photo on Australia Zoo’s Facebook wall, to ensure we can see your entry
7. The individual who posts the photo must own the intellectual property.
8. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges from Australia Zoo, based on creativity, and all
decisions will be final. The competition is a game of skill, and winners will be judged on
creativity. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
9. The prize is non refundable or redeemable for cash. All decisions are final and no
correspondence will be entered into. Australia Zoo accepts no responsibility for lost, late or
misdirected entries. Entries will be deemed void if forged, inappropriate, offensive or in
breach of Facebook Terms and Conditions in any way.
10. Entrants warrant that:
• Their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third
party; and
• Their entry does not contain any content that is sexually explicit, violent or derogatory of
any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, profane or pornographic, is
obscene or offensive or violates any law.
11. By entering this promotion, the participant grants that Australia Zoo and its licensees and
assignees a non-exclusive licence to exercise all rights in perpetuity throughout the world in
the entry at any time. This includes, but is not limited to, the right to display the entry or any
part of the entry in whole or in part in any media, including on the Australia Zoo Facebook
page. The participant acknowledges that they will not be entitled to any compensation for
this continued use.
12. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with
Facebook. Entrants release Facebook from any and all liability resulting from this
competition.
13. Accommodation at Oaks Oasis resort will be subject to availability and may not include peak
periods including school holidays. Australia Zoo’s VIP Platinum experience is also subject to
availability. Both of these will need to be booked in advance.
14. Australia Zoo’s animal encounters have restrictions around age and mobility levels. Platinum
Zoo adventure conditions are outlined below:
Platinum Zoo Adventure - Terms & Conditions













Big Cat Encounters are available to participants who are 15 years of age and above only.
Dingo 6+, Lemur 4+ and Echidna 1+.
A non refundable deposit of $400 per adult is required.
Cancellation within 48 hours of the Walk shall result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Cancellation other than in accordance with condition 3 shall result in forfeiture of 50% of the
deposit.
Big Cat Encounters are subject to the weather. You must be aware that the encounter may
be cancelled if bad weather occurs before or during the Walk. The encounter will be
rescheduled for later in the day or the next available date, at the handler’s discretion. All
other encounters may be rescheduled or relocated.
No personal items or food are permitted in the enclosures, for Big Cat Encounters this
includes CAMERAS.
Price includes an exclusive VIP Platinum Photography Package and lunch.
Full mobility is required for most encounters. Big Cat encounters require guests be fit and
healthy, have full motor skill capacity, be able to walk at a reasonable pace over rough
terrain for 30 minutes and be able to squat/kneel down and stand up quickly & without
assistances. If any participants arrive and cannot display this, this encounter will not go
ahead.
Guests with limps, wheelchairs or walking aids are not permitted on Big Cat encounters.
Each guest must have full intellectual abilities.
Each guest must be able to understand English or have a paying interpreter with them.
Enclosed and flat suitable footwear must be worn during the encounter. Shoes that have
been recently worn around grazing animals (eg. horse boots) are not allowed.
Clothing should be neutral in colour and not be overly baggy or frilly.








Pants should be knee length or longer. NO short shorts, skirts or dresses allowed. (Big Cat
encounters only)
No over powering scents/perfumes and no loud accessories (bells, bracelets/bangles etc.).
All participants must follow all instructions given by the handlers at all times.
Participants may be asked to cease any encounter at any time for whatever reason at the
handler’s discretion.
Please remember that Big Cats are predatory animals and are quite capable of exercising
their natural instincts.
Australia Zoo does not take any responsibility for any injuries that are received. First Aid will
be called if required.
Australia Zoo reserves the right to refuse any person to participate in any of the encounters
for safety or other reasons.
Patrons must be at the front entrance by 8:00am.
