move slip stitch back to left needle. Turn
2. Row 2: K3 sts to end
3. Row 3: K2, bring wool to the front of the work, slip next stitch, move wool to the back,

HEAD:
1. Rows 1-4: knit
2. Row 5-8: K1, K2 tog, K to last three stitches, K2tog, K1
3. Rows 9—10: Knit
This will leave you with 8 sts. Cut the wool leaving a length of 30 cm. Thread a needle with
this and run it through the 8 sts, pull them tight. Continue with the wool to sew up the head,
back & side leaving a hole big enough to insert an egg. Stuff the head lightly. Insert the egg
to see where the neck should be. With a small needle threaded with wool sew a running
stitch to cinch the neck & fasten off. The eyes are French knots made from black wool and
finally sew on a beak made from red felt.

EASTER BUNNY PATTERN
Quick and easy to make using double knitting wool:
BODY & EARS
1. Cast on 24 sts on size 9 needles and knit (garter stitch) for 24 rows.
2. Cast off first stitch, work the next 11 sts & slip the remaining 12 sts onto a stitch holder.
3. Continue knitting on the 11 sts until the piece measures 5cm from stitch holder.
4. Cut the thread, pull through all 11 sts, tighten & fasten ( = ear).
5. Slip the 12 sts back on the needle. Cast off 1 st towards the first 11 sts so you have 11
sts left.
6. Continue knitting until ear measures 5cm.
7. Cut the thread, pull through all 11 sts, tighten and fasten.
ASSEMBLY
Sew both ears together and sew body together down the back
RIBBON
A ribbon can be used for the bow or it can be made by finger knitting:
1. Form a slipknot in your wool and place it over the index finger of the hand you don't
write with.
2. Pull firmly. You will now have two strands of wool, the short end and the long one that is
attached to your ball of wool . Allow both strands to hang below your finger.
3. Using your other hand, bring the long end of yarn behind and over your index finger, so
now you have two strands of yarn over your finger.
4. Lift the first strand of yarn up and over the second strand and off the finger.
5. Grasp the two ends of yarn beneath your finger and tug on them gently to close the
chain you have created and draw it up towards your finger.
6. Repeat until your chain is the desired length. Cut the yarn and secure tightly with a knot.
Tie the ribbon round both ears and tie in a bow
FEATURES
Embroider 2 eyes with a dark colour.
Cross stitch a pink nose
