Music is God’s idea and part of His creative genius. He invites you to join Him in finding joy and life in music! Music helps us to express the condition of our heart. My daughter, Kristen, is graduating from Augsburg College in Minneapolis this Spring with a major in theater. She particularly loves musical theater and recently played the lead female role of Julie Jordan in Carousel for her last play in college. Kristen says, “Musical Theater is so much fun because through music and words you can say things that would sound silly if not put to music. For instance, the song: “June is bustin’ out all over, all over the meadows and the hills!” It’s ridiculous to say those words! But when set to music this song from the play Carousel is perfectly acceptable”. In a similar way music puts words to our emotions and helps us to express our feelings whether it is joy, sorrow, reverence, anger, love, passion, etc. Music is one of the most important vehicles for emotional expression! 2 Everyone Welcome: Community Chapel Service Tuesdays at 7:00 pm Catholic Service Wednesdays at 10:30 am Bible Study Wednesdays at 1:30 pm Prayer Circle Thursdays at 10:30 am Our Daily Bread, a daily devotional booklet, is available regular or large print on the literature rack in the lobby CALVARY CHURCH FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON AND PROGRAM SHOPPING TRIP Thursday, May 14th Bus Departs: 11:15 DOLLAR STORE Little Canada Friday, May 1st Bus departs: 2:00 p.m. A great meal for $6.00 *Deadline to sign up: Monday, May 11th HAR MAR MALL** Roseville Lunch & Shopping 1:00—4:00 Friday, May 15th Bus departs: 12:30 p.m. *********************** PRESENTATION: ‘THE CIVIL WAR REMEMBERED: 150 YEAR ANNIVERSARY’ By Pastor Dave Friday, May 22nd Scandia Room SUPER WALMART Vadnais Heights Friday, May 22nd Bus departs: 10:15 a.m. *********************** *********************** QUESTIONS & ANSWERS W/ DR.
