Aug 8-15/15 v Friends of Medicare Letter v Spirit of Edmonton, a collection v Alberta Northwest Conference United Church Women v 2015 Annual General Meeting April30/15 Knox-Metropolitan United Church invites the folks of Avonmore United Church to our Maundy Thursday combined pot luck supper and service. We will begin with supper at 6:15 p.m and follow with the service. Come join us for food, fellowship and worship. Our expected end time is 7:30 to allow our choir members to attend their choir practice. Ways and Means The Ways and Means Committee will be holding its 20th Annual Barbecued Beef Prime Rib & Roast Pork Dinner and “Not-so-Silent” Silent Auction on Saturday, April 11/15. Tickets will be on sale, in the Lower Hall following the service. Adults $20.00, 6-12 $10.00, under 6 free. Please purchase your tickets early, as it is very difficult to know how much food is needed if too many people buy tickets at the door. If you can help with donations for the auction such as crafts, gift certificates, or new merchandise that you really don’t need, please pass it on for a very worthwhile cause. Browsing will start at 4:30 p.m., Dinner at 5:30, Auction at 7:30. LENTEN FILM SERIES Where and where: three Sundays at 6:30 pm in the Church Lounge Dates: March 15, 22 and 29 Description: We will watch a fascinating film each Sunday night and discuss it over tea and movie snacks.
