Who is Neets?
Neets was founded in 1999 by Tue S. Andersen with the objective of making life easier for AV-equipment users in meetings, conferences & teaching situations.
Neets is a privately held Danish company based in Horsens, just south of Aarhus.
Based on continuous development and innovation, Neets is today the market leader in Scandinavia
when it comes to intuitive AV control and is a key player internationally as well.
We have a great staff committed to the development of intuitive AV control systems for conference and
educational facilities. We believe in making life easier for our users through innovation and a high level
of customer support.

When to use this application?
Neets Control - EcHo is a small control system perfect for class rooms.
With Neets Control - EcHo you get a small and user-friendly control system, which makes it simple for everyone to
control the AV equipment in the class room.
All the basic functions are controllable in one user-interface and the control system starts up the room by a single
finger press and you are ready for lecturing.
You can use the host PC, which is already placed in the class room - or if you have a separate laptop, it is easy to connect it through the USB switch to show the presentation and control the interactive board.
The keyboard lock makes it possible to lock the keyboard, so that the functions are inaccessible for students or other
persons, who should not be able to use the AV-equipment in the room.
Beside this Neets Control – EcHo can be extended with a volume knob and extra keyboards to make controlling of
the AV-equipment user-friendly and recognizable in all class rooms.

How is it connected?
Mounting:
The Neets Control – EcHo can be mounted in a standard DK, EU or single UK back box and standard frames are used
(from e.g. LK, Gira or Merten).
Power:
You can place the power supply for the Neets Control - EcHo close to the projector and then power the system
through the CAT5 cable that is also used for the RS-232 commands.
Neets Expansion Bus (NEB):
The NEB (Neets Extensions Bus) has a maximum length of 30 cm from the control system.
On this bus the level control (for controlling the sound level) turn knob is attached.
Keyboard lock:
The Keyboard lock makes it possible to press power off and then disable the possibility to power on the system.
Notes:
Use Neets Audio Amplifier version 2 to get 1 extra serial port.
There can be connected 2 IR – Emitters (IR “eyes”) to each RS-232 (comport).

When to use this application?
With a combination of keyboard and touch device, Neets Control - SieRRa is perfect for meeting rooms.
This application simplifies the use of different AV equipment, as it can all be controlled in one solution.
The basic functions are available on the traditional keypad with a recognizable user-interface in all rooms.
Furthermore, the control system starts up the room by a single finger press and you are ready to present.
Additionally, expanded functions can be controlled by a touch device, where the graphical user-interface (both functions and design) can be freely configured to meet your requirements.
Beside this Neets Control – SieRRa can be extended with a volume knob and extra keyboards to make controlling of
the AV-equipment user-friendly and recognizable in all rooms.

How is it connected?
Connection:
The Neets Control – SieRRa is connected to the network - an already existing network can be used.
The Touch device is connected to the same network through Wi-Fi. Here a Viewpad 7” is used.
Mounting:
The Neets Control – SieRRa is mounted in a standard DK, EU or single UK back box and standard frames are used
(e.g. LK, Gira or Merten).
Power:
The Neets Control - SieRRa is powered from the relay box, which also powers the screen.
Normally, this relay box is placed above a lowered ceiling and it is connected to the Neets control - SieRRa system
via a CAT5 cable or equal.
Infrared (IR):
To control the Blu ray and CD over IR, two IR-Emitters are needed.
All the wires have to come from the control system.
Neets Expansion Bus (NEB):
The NEB has a maximum length of 20 cm from the control system.
On this bus the volume turn knob is attached.
All the sound sources (CD and Blu-ray) are connected directly to the Neets Audio Amplifier.
In this case Neets Amplfier Version 2 is used with 4 inputs, where you can add e.g. MP3 player.

When to use this application?
Flexible multi rooms with Neets Control - SieRRa
In order to make meeting rooms more flexible the use of folding walls is a simple way to achieve a versatile solution.
Neets Control – SieRRa is the perfect solution for handling the different combinations of rooms and AV-equipment.
When opening the folding walls you can select in each room, which room you want to be the source material.
For instance standing in room 2 and pressing HDMI 1 you will in room 2 get the material from room 1.
If you then press HDMI 1 in room 3 you will have the source material from room 1 in all three rooms.
When closing the rooms you will not be able to select sources from the other rooms. In other words – you can select
sources from the rooms that you can see.
The traditional push button keyboard with level control makes controlling of the rooms simple and user-friendly.
Besides, you can add a touch device, where a graphical floor plan overview makes the complicated system handling
easy and intuitive.

How is it connected?
Connection:
The Neets Control - SieRRa is connected to a LAN network. An already existing network can be used.
The touch device is connected to the same network through Wi-Fi. Here a Viewpad 7” is used.
Moreover, the Neets control - SieRRa is connected to the Neets Audio Amplifier and the LCD screen trough RS-232
(can also be IR).
In this setup, 3 individual meeting rooms are divided by 2 folding walls. When opening the folding wall - e.g. the wall
between room 1 and 2, when standing in room 2 - the I/O on the wall switch is activated and tells the corresponding
Neets Control - SieRRa that it can now use the input source in room 1 also.
The Video Matrix and the Audio Mixer are controlled over network with presets.
The Audio Mixer sends out line signal to the Neets Audio Amplifier, which controls the level.
This means, you get less noise, because of a high level in the audio signal cables.
Mounting:
The Neets Control – SieRRa is mounted in a standard DK, EU or single UK back box and standard frames are used
(e.g. LK, Gira or Merten).
Programming:
This setup is programmed in script mode on the Neets Control - SieRRa.
The LED color in the keyboard is programmed to be clear indicating what you can use.
Neets Expansion Bus (NEB):
The NEB has a maximum length of 20 cm from the control system.
On this bus the volume turn knob is attached.

When to use this application?
Simple control of videoconferencing and AV-equipment in one solution with Neets Control – SieRRa
Installing Neets Control – SieRRa in meeting rooms or educational facilities is the perfect solution for simple use of
video conferencing and AV-equipment.
Using videoconferencing makes it easier to arrange meetings or distance learning and it will make you save time and
money, when getting people from different places together at the same time.
With Neets Control – SieRRa you can easily control the entire system in the room by a few buttons, which means you
can avoid using remote controls. You can control all basic functions by a traditional keypad on the wall or you can
add a touch device giving you a graphical overview with a customized user interface.
The phonebook can be retrieved to the touch device and from here you can start a video conference by just pressing
the name of the person or location you want to meet with.
Furthermore, when there is an incoming call it will be displayed on the screen and you can choose to take or dismiss
the call from the touch device.
When controlling AV equipment – e.g. Blu-ray/DVD, you simply press the button for DVD on the touch panel and you
are ready to start a movie.

How is it connected?
Connection:
The Neets Control - SieRRa is connected to the network. Here an already existing network can be used.
The video conference codec and the touch device are connected to the same network.
In this case an Apple iPad is used.
Mounting:
The Neets Control – SieRRa is mounted in a standard DK, EU or single UK back box and standard frames are used
(e.g. LK, Gira or Merten).
Power:
The Neets Control - SieRRa PSU can be placed next to the screen, then the cable and then the cable is fed together
with the RS-232/IR cable.
Infrared (IR):
To control the Blu-ray over IR, an IR-Emitter are needed.
All the wires have to come from the control system.
Notes:
In this case Neets Amplfier Version 2 is used with 4 inputs, where you can add e.g. MP3 player.
Currently, we support Tandberg video conference systems (C20/C40/C60).
