Using Google Drawing – Cheat Sheet
Once you have opened a Drawing file, you will see a large blank canvas (drawing area) and rows of tools at the top.
Click here to give
the file a name.
Click here to
find the print
command.
Choose order of
overlapping images;
Rotate images
Undo
The Tools tab gives you
access to research and
other tools…
Insert a comment
Insert image
Redo
Insert textbox
The Insert tab allows
you to add additional
design elements…
Insert line… click the
caret for options…
Insert shape… click the
caret for options…
At the top of your document,
select the Tools tab, then
select Research. The
Research Pane will appear on
the right of your screen.
Click in the search bar to
narrow your results by type
and enter your search
term(s).
Click the caret (
) at the
bottom of the search bar to
filter results by copyright.
Formatting tools will appear when you add a text box or a
shape, so you can change size, color, and various attributes.
You can also use the Format tab in the tool bar.
Drag and drop an image to
insert it in your drawing.
Choose Free to use
