Introducing BART
Electric Elephant Media and Gti Media’s new Benchmarking and Achievements Reporting Tool (BART) , is
an innovative reporting solution for Government Departments, Agencies and Ministerial offices delivering
streamlined reporting as well workplace productivity and efficiencies.
BART was developed to bring together multiple Government Department’s reporting systems to capture
and report on election promises, 2021 goals and ministerial commitments. It is currently in use by the Dept of
Planning and Environment.
BART provides a consistent and streamlined database, overlayed with a user- friendly website to input data,
run reports and approve information for publishing.
Implementing BART removes the need for track changes, multi-user document issues and version control.
BART also delivers workforce productivity and efficiency by eliminating multiple reporting systems.
A data rich information source, BART also stores documents and images relating to these commitments such
as media releases and images.
BART is accessed via a secure online portal. Users are assigned different levels of access based on their role to
ensure robust security of the system.
Using BART, you will be able to better understand the various elements of a commitment, project
or initiative including:

Commitment source;

Key outcomes / activities;
•
Progress statements;
•
Funding totals,
BART is linked to Federal and State electoral boundaries, as well as LGA and regional maps, so commitments
can be visually identified.
Once you search BART for the information you need, a simple click allows to you export that search to
a CSV format.
BART has been designed specifically for use on mobile devices such as iPhone and iPad providing convenient
remote access to senior executives, the Minister or even the Premier. A door stop interview seeking what the
government has achieved in a particular electorate to date….no problems, with the simple search, BART will
have the answer.
BART provides a simple and effective management reporting tool that will assist with successfully monitoring
the delivery of key NSW Government commitments.

The BART system is both safe and secure. It is stored on a secure server optimising SSL protocols for
encrypting information. BART has the ability to have multiple user accounts with varying functionality and
authorities.

BART has the ability to incorporate multiple layer map modules. Your projects and achievements can not
only be graphically shown use rich icons and summarised snapshots of information, but can include specific
geographic location and exact GIS co-ordinates all from the homepage.

One of BARTS great abilities is it data rich search results, displayed both graphically and textually without
deminishing load speed. Search and Advanced search functions can be tailored to the specific data
requirements.

This is where BART comes to life. With the ability to show clear crisp data on any project, the system can
also show where the project takes place using mapping capabilities, whom the project benefits, images of
the project, relevant contact details and even centralise file storage for the project. Accountability and time is
core, with all actions recorded and displayed accordingly, include date and time references to show how upto-date the data is.

Each industry has a different set of significant data, BART allows for specific targeted questions to be asked
to display rich information for each project. This included financial data, timeframes and dates, general
information and the ability to upload relevant images and files.
