Bay Day Lighted Boat Parade
Saturday, June 6th, 2015
on the Maurice River before the Fireworks!
Parade Theme: The parade is part of the Delaware Bay Day festival and participants are encouraged to
decorate their vessels in keeping with this celebration of the natural resources, culture and history of the
Delaware Bay. Traditional decorations are also appropriate.
Parade Timing: Vessels should begin staging at 7:30 PM and should be ready to move by 8:00 PM. The parade
shall be completed and all participants shall clear the fireworks safety zone by the beginning of the fireworks.
Navigation on the river after the dispersing of the parade will be strictly limited, in order to maintain a fireworks
safety zone.
Communication: Vessels with radios should monitor VHF Channel 10 for parade instruction or changes in
plans.

the Road and recognize that as a parade participant I am not considered to be the privileged vessel, especially
in meeting, crossing or overtaking situations with vessels restricted in their ability to maneuver.
I further understand that if I operate my vessel negligently, disregard the Navigation Rules of the Road or
instruction of official vessels, I will be barred from this and future events sponsored by the Bayshore Center
at Bivalve.
