Pohatcong Recreation Association Announces STREET HOCKEY SIGN UPS for Alpha, Bloomsbury, Greenwich and Pohatcong children currently in grades 1 through 8 The Pohatcong Recreation Association and the New Jersey Devils are proud to invite you to participate in the 2015 Summer Street Devils street hockey program. The season will run during the summer from mid-June to early August. All games are tentatively scheduled to be played on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings at Crestwood Field (unless postponed games need to be played.) The registration fee is $70. This fee covers insurance, T-shirt, equipment costs and referee fees. Sticks, nets, balls and goalie equipment have been donated by the New Jersey Devils and the National Hockey League. Pohatcong Recreation Association will provide helmets, shin guards, gloves and a mouthpiece. Sneakers are the required footwear to participate in this program. NO ROLLERBLADES OR ROLLER SKATES WILL BE PERMITTED. This program is open to all girls and boys in Pohatcong, Bloomsbury, Greenwich Township and Alpha currently in first through eighth grades. Teams and divisions will be formed based upon experience, age and the number of participants in the program. DUE TO THE POPULARITY OF THIS PROGRAM, REGISTRATION MAY BE LIMITED TO A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. Three sign ups will be held, rain or shine, at the Crestwood Field Playing Surface in the concession stand on the following dates: Tuesday, April 21st – 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29th – 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2nd – 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. If openings are still available after Saturday, May 2nd, a $10 per player late registration fee will be assessed. Please bring your player’s T-shirt size to the sign up.
