From the Earth
Ann Catrin Evans (metals), Jonathan Fairbairn (ceramic design), Dave Stephen
(slate)
Until recently there were rigid borders between the ‘fine’ arts and the ‘applied’
arts. Ann, Dave and Jon all cross the boundaries and help to break down these
divisions. In different ways each artist takes their raw materials from the earth.

From the Earth
Ann Catrin Evans (metalau), Jonathan Fairbairn (dylunio cerameg), Dave
Stephen (llechi)
Tan yn ddiweddar, roedd ffiniau anhyblyg rhwng y celfyddydau ‘cain’ a’r
celfyddydau ‘cymhwysol’. Mae Ann, Dave a Jon i gyd yn croesi’r ffiniau ac yn
helpu i dorri i lawr y gwahaniaethau hyn. Mewn ffyrdd gwahanol mae pob artist
yn cymryd eu deunyddiau crai o’r ddaear.
