Summary of Career Camps
HealthCare- Campers will learn about the field of medical care in this week long camp. Campers will
learn a variety of healthcare services and skill, as well as, learning opportunities from guest speaker’s
form the Governor’s Health Science Academy, an Infection Control Nurse, a Forensic Nurse, and Blood
ABO Typing Nurse.
Manufacturing- Campers will learn welding and machining with the latest equipment during this week
long camp. Camp will be held at CVCC.
S.T.E.M- Campers will learn about science and engineering through 3D printer creations. Camp will be
held at CVCC.
Transportation-Campers will be introduced to various transportation related opportunities. Camp will
touch on automobiles, aeronautics, and rockets. They will have a field trip on Friday which will be
announced at the time of camp.
Teen Citizen Police Academy- Campers will learn about law enforcement and other careers in this field,
while analyzing crime scenes, investigating the aftermath of bombs, and learning to safely shoot.
Agriculture Business-Campers will explore a wide variety of careers and opportunities in Bedford
Agriculture and the impact Agriculture has on our community.
Culinary Arts-Campers will create and cook various meals and gain top of the line food service skills
during this week long experience. Camp will be held at CVCC.
Military/JROTC- Campers will experience all branches of the military during this week long camp. Rope
and wall course included.
