INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE & MAINTENANCE
• WARNING: Do no use this child’s bed if any part is broken, torn or missing.
• WARNING: Do not place this child’s bed near heat sources, windows and other furniture.
• The bottom position of the base is the safest. You should use the cot/bed in this position
as soon as your baby is old enough to sit up.
• Never leave anything in the cot/bed which could provide a foothold for your child to climb
out or would present a danger of suffocation or strangulation.
• All assembly fittings should be tightened properly and care should be taken to ensure
that no screws are loose, a child could trap parts of the body, or clothing (e.g. ribbons,
drawstrings, necklaces ) this could pose a risk of strangulation.
• Regularly check that all fittings and components of the cot/bed are fully tightened and in
working order. If any parts have become worn or damaged then do not use the cot/bed,
seek advice from your retailer or by calling our Customer Care Helpline on: +44 (0) 845 268
2000.
• Do not use replacement parts that are not recommended or supplied by Mamas & Papas.
Non-approved parts may render the repair or cot/bed unsafe.
• Do not place your cot/bed in the close proximity of an open fire and other sources of heat,
such as radiators, electric or gas fires.
• For reasons of safety we only recommend the use of the Mamas & Papas size 400
mattress for this cot/bed.
• The length and width shall be such that the gap between the mattress and the sides and
ends does not exceed 30mm.
• The thickness of the mattress chosen should be such that the internal height (the distance
between the surface of the mattress to the upper edge of the cot side) is a minimum of
500mm when the base is set in the lowest position and a minimum of 200mm when the cot
base is set in the highest position.
• The line engraved on the side of the cot indicates the maximum thickness of the mattress
to be used with the cot.
• Your cot/bed may be cleaned with a damp cloth. Never use bleach or harsh abrasives.
• This toddler bed should only be used when the child no longer needs the confinement of a
cot up to 4 years approximately.
• Children are likely to play, jump, bounce and climb on beds, therefore the child’s bed
should not be placed too close to other furniture or windows and should be placed either
tight to any wall or have a gap of 300mm between the wall and the side of the bed.
• To prevent injusry from falls do not use this cot once the child is able to climb out.
• The child’s bed conforms to BS8509:2008.
The maximum height (i.e. upper surface) of any mattress fitted must not exceed the line
engraved on the inside of the cot/bed leg/side. We recommend the use of the Mamas &
Papas size: 400 mattress.
Due to constant updating and improvements, some components may occasionally differ slightly from the diagrams shown in
