ECO-ART AWARD CONTEST
THE THEME IS:
POLLINATORS
Submissions may include an essay, poem, collage, painting,
drawing or sculpture of a pollinator
Registration deadline: March 31, 2015
Contest begins: April 1, 2015
Entry deadline: May 8, 2015
Winners announced: May 28, 2015
Prizes will be awarded!
Rules
• Open to all students in grades 2 through 7 in participating Audubon Adventures
schools.
• All schools/groups must register by March 31, 2015.
• Contest begins April 1, 2015 entries must be submitted by May 8, 2015.
• Teachers of each grade will select 13 final entries to be submitted for judging. A
representative from BCAS will pick up the entries on or about May 11, 2015.
• Winners will be announced on May 28, 2015.
• Projects may be completed in school or at home. Name, age, grade and school
must be included on the back or bottom of the project.
In addition, each entry must include on a separate sheet of paper, answers to the
following:
• What is pollination?
• The name of the pollinator the student chose.
• A description of the pollinator they chose.
• Why they chose that pollinator.
• What we can do to help pollinators.
Name, age, grade and school must be included on the paper and attached to the back
of the artwork if possible.
Prizes:
Prizes will be determined and announced after registration. 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place winners will be awarded prizes at a special award
ceremony on June 7, 2015 at 2PM and their artwork will be on
exhibit in the gallery at the Puffin Cultural Forum in Teaneck. For
those who wish to participate, a nature walk will be conducted after
the ceremony.
